These people 'scum' are everywhere. And there isn't enough done to stop them. Once found guilty of taking us all for a ride they should be made to clean the gum off our streets and empty the rubbish from our rivers beeches and canals for us good people to enjoy. Nothings worse than going to work knowing the taxes we pay isn't all going to where its needed, its going straight to these thieving scum who don't deserve a roof over their heads. The money taken from those who really need it is the biggest crime of course. If you know who they are, pick up the phone, why should 'we' fund their bone idle backsides? Mick

If you mean claiming benefits... well some people have disabilities that are not apparent to others, and some are demoralised at not being able to find work. Funnily enough, when I was long-term unemployed and "claim claim claiming" I knew I was "perfectly capable of working", and wasn't it a pity that those hundreds of would-be employers didn't think the same ? I told myself I was "perfectly capable of working" every time I received a rejection letter. If you are lucky enough to have a job please don't mock those who can't find work. I know there are people who play the system, but until there are enough jobs for those who really want them we can't identify them.

I had a friend who earned as much as me from disability benefit, and I am working 23 hours a week as a qualified nurse! It bugged the hell out of me, cos we dont get a penny except child benefit that all parents get. She got free school dinners, even though her and her hubby had more money than me and mine. Free prescriptions, blue badge on the car, with 3 free tickets per year! And her disablity was a bad back Purlese! we went to the baths together, to the gym, shopping for hours, park with the kids, everything. Oh and she managed plenty of sex too. Her back was fine!

Are you the 'one that works', and all of your mates laugh at you?
Four things you could do:
1) Choose different mates.
2) Stop whinging and try to help them get some work.
3) Work more hours so that they can have more of what you are earning.
4) Tell the benefit fraud department.

I'm sure everyone knows someone who is on benefit and is capable of working but won't . That's just how goes sometimes.
People who are on benefit sometimes benefit more then working.
It sucks for those of us that do work and pay tax & NI.

They should pay better wages for those looking for work and not expect them to claim "working credits" once they have a bloody job. Isn't that CLAIMING TOO ????

There is an old saying that we are judged by the company we keep....so give them a wide berth or eventually you will be tarred with the same brush.
Or alternatively you could always help them to get back into work....???

They always seem to fake some illness too to get extra on top. They make me sick! If you know them well why not tell them how you feel.

Cos we live in a society where it makes life easy for them, but harder for the rest of us picking up the bill.
