No matter what your faith, do you have a feeling that something is going to happen soon? My husband and I feel this building of thought that another terrorist attack here in the States will happen soon. It's just a feeling, and it is probably irrational. We were just wondering if anyone else feels the same way?

Thanks for bringing this in the open. I feel it, too. Have been for a while now. Maybe enough good energy in that direction will have an effect. We need to try.

Yup,
Many negative things are taking place now and seem to be taking place more often and in increasing numbers. The pattern for yet more negative events is already laid down.

Many people are highly nervous; like some animals and birds prior to an earthquake. Is that irrational?

Consider the increasing amount of irrational behavior in human beings in all areas. Think of the negative situations we have had to associate in recent years with economics, government, education, water quality, weather, religion, politics, immigration, the environment, marriage and family, transportation, food supply, health delivery, retirement, military and defense systems, etc.

There is little stability in human actions and interaction today. Response to problems, at many times in history, has drawn people together. Now they protest and riot almost everytime and everywhere.

Reminds me of an old story by Robert Ingersoll about the world's worst meal. Said, nothing was hot but the water and everything was sour but the vinegar.

What I see is everything escalating on all fronts. In less than 43 years the human population is going to increase from 6.7 billion to about 9.1 billion. What will be needed to meet demands for food, water, health delivery; and environmental conservation and repair is mind bending; as is the potential for explosions of new plagues and famine on top of those we have now.

Half of the human population, as of this year, is located in cities and those centers are in the main near sea level. Higher elevations are loosing ground water and turning to desert. The desert factor, before economics, is one big cause for mass immigrations which is never mentioned.

A population closer to sea level means more pollution stress on oceans; a population more open to higher oceans, storms, earthquakes, disease, political and economic trouble and manipulation in all forms.

Behind all this is still the potential for the U.S. and Russia to blow the world to bits. Still other countries want into the game! There are many that want to control mankind and press for a global community, global religion, etc. The idea sounds good but one ship, hit with significant damage in any location, takes everyone down; and half the world is already below decks.

I don't think we have a "feeling" I think we have a "knowing". The article by Specter is an eye opener of things known since the Reagan administration. While this article centers on AIDS, there is all sorts of intelligence to be gained from it; if you are up on your history.

I've been feeling this for months, BUT I've been feeling Katrina the return coming....which is weird, because there's no activity in the gulf, well, as of yesterday.....

hmmmm. Something will happen, so feeling an attack is to be expected.

I expect we'll see more Christian terrorism again once W-for-worst is out of the white house.... funny how right wing radio stopped calling gov't officials jack booted thugs when those EXACT SAME officials were under a republican.

Yes, I really do!! I think that with the UK attacks so recent that (knowing the terrorists sense of humor with 9-11) the bombs bursting in air part of the Star Spangled Banner will be right up their alley for the fourth. I bet they try something on planes or something.

I don't think it's irrational at all. Actually, to think otherwise is probably unrealistic. I get that feeling too. There is so much going on in the world of terrorism and it is actually surprising that nothing has happened since 911. It is a scary world....

As far as the terrorist attack, I feel it very strongly. I warned my relatives to fill up their tanks today, just in case. I also withdrew $250 from my account in small bills, and bought extra water and batteries. They say that the attack will be centered here in Southern California, where we live

That is fear. The truth is that disaster and suffering have been happening throughout human existence. There is little, any of us can do about it, and worrying definitely won't help.

So live life knowing that you can make a difference daily with people around you, rather than focusing on what might happen. For all we know, the sun could hiccup and we would loose the atmosphere, could happen anytime, not worth losing life over.

Absolutely. I have this nagging feeling that it will be a horror we have never seen. In my dreams, I see people looting stores, runnning for their lives, and for some reason...everyone is concerned about either water to drink, or getting to a place near water...something concerning water. I am almost positive a great tragedy will come to pass before we see winter this year.

Yes....the date: 07/07/07, really bothers me.
Some dates seems to mean things to some people...I am hoping it means nothing...and won't be acted on...I also hope nothing will happen...because my son is in the Service...he has been over there 4 times now since "Desert storm"...its just a very uneasy feeling I have...I pray I am wrong...

i would assume it has to do with the whole terrorist attacks in london that has ya a little anxious. will it happen? possibly cause we really have no real way of stopping it, other than basic luck. but should we live our lives in fear? nah, no reason to.

living life in fear of death is not really living at all.
