The biggest avi file I have is 923,126 kb and I what to convert it into a smaller file but I don't know what type of file I can convert it to or what to use to convert it to I have tried some of the free stuff but the ones I tried all are useless.

My main thing is what type of file can I convert it to that does not take up a lot of hard drive space wma, divx or any other type of file and what is the best converter I can use?

Yea...that's the problem when it comes to "Free" stuff...most of the time they don't really work & 2 they are usually bundled with adware & spyware...
Try DivX to do this...Of course if you want to convert the avi file you're going to have to pay for it to get those features...
