Too much water. Everyone likes to drown their plants. Plants are not fish. Past that the plants do fairly well. Of course if you take an indoor plant and throw it outside in the hot sun, it is done as if you threw a baby on a desert. Plants can take a lot but those two things, no. They die if drowned or baked.
