Why do you care if he tells everyone? Are you ashamed of being a heterosexual who likes boys? Is it a secret, or something? Act like it is no big deal, and everyone else will act like it is no big deal.
Have some courage! You cannot gain anything valuable without taking some risks.

Well do you talk to him as a friend or have you never talked to him before? How old are you? If your 21 and over then you should just say " Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go get a drink with me on Sat. " You could even ask him to meet and your friend s out so it wont be to uncomfortable. Or if your younger you could invite him to the movies or to go to the beach with you or something like that. If he does tell everyone that you asked him out then he just a big looser and gets a kick out of humiliating other people. ( not the kind of guy you should want to date in the first place) either way you'll find out.

Girls should have to ask the guys out. The guys are supposed to ask the girls. Don't ask him out. And yea he WOULD tell everyone. That's what they do, probally because of excitement! But trust me, don't ask him out, if he likes you and wants you he'll ask you out.
