Many times. I was called upon last week to give a blessing to a friend in the Church. It was unexpected, even though I had given this person many blessing before. I did not know what I would say that would be of comfort to this person. As I began to speak, the thoughts came into my mind what I should say. I gave her a blessing that I would not have thought of on my own. The person said that they had never before been counseled in a blessing to do what I had declared. It was inspired.

Dear Struggling Artist,

May the Lord bless you with kindness, mercy and grace.
May His will fall down upon your life, and lead your steps
toward embracing His will and love.

Then, give Him thanks, as though you have already
received that inspiration I have prayed for you to receive.

Yes, you are asking in Religion and Spirituality, so it's my prayer.

Now as for receiving that inspiration,
be open-minded.
Write several words on paper, first.
One may lead you to another, a memory, or
your best art yet.

Good luck, God bless.

I used to be leery of religions - all of them. I enjoyed studying them, but was never inspired to follow any one. I also used to be very creative, making crafts, knitting, etc. One day, I just wasn't inspired anymore.

I made myself go out and try something new. I trying hoodoo and voodoo. I tried painting. I tried keeping a journal. Things I hadn't tried before. Instead of knitting, I paint. The new medium for expressing myself gave me new inspiration as well. Try it!

"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there also you may be." John 14:1-3
