Do you really know what will happen to you? You do realize that the Jewish Bible was written by Hebrews in Hebrew, right? It makes no mention of Jesus or of God having any parts that would make him a trinity. As a matter of fact, he expressly said that he is ONE, singular, with no parts or partners. That verse from Genesis that people use to say that God said us, it's taken out of context. Same with all of the "prophecies" that were supposedly fulfilled by Jesus. Heck, most of them aren't even prophecies. Would you like to learn more about the God of the Israelites, or would you like to keep pretending it's the same as that triune thing that the Greeks and Romans told you was the God of Israel?

us jews are right. jesus is was not the Moshiach. he's like this random person that has nothing to do with the actual Moshiach. lets check the list...

-Rambam's 13
Principles of Faith says..did jesus do?-

jesus will lead the jews nope
back to isreal.

the Moshiach will be nope.
a direct decent from
king david.

rebuild the temple. nope.

restore the jewish nope
government
in isreal.

what have we concluded? -jesus did nothing that the Moshiach was supposed to do. nothing there about dying for our sins. i just dont understand why christians ignore all this. im not saying they're wrong, jsut that they arnt right.

edit::: i checked out your link. the funny thing about christians thinking that jews too will burn in hell if we dont accept jesus, is that we dont believe in hell! the christian hell and jewish hell coulnt be more different. we believe that hell is a cleansing period, and the length is determinded by how bad you were. the longest is a year.

We were created and we will never know by who or what.

I respect religious people but the bottom line is all religions were created by man. I do not worship Jews (dead or alive - sorry Wolfowitz) or fat Buddhas or cows or science fiction writers or polygamists or black guys with or Allah or any other God. I also do not worship the numerous Greek or Roman Gods (God did I hate studying that crap).

I think Jesus was a good man and it is good to live in peace and respect others. I do not, however, think he is God or Mary was a virgin. Jews can worship what they want - just don't call me an anti-Semite if I refuse to worship the Jews or die in Neocon wars.

What if nobody is right and nobody is wrong? What if everybody has a little bit of the real truth, but nobody has all of it! What if God does not condemn anyone for any reason...ever? What if we are all one, with God and with each other? What if we are all a part of what God is...the same way that a drop of water is a part of the ocean? What if we are all co-creators with God, and we all create our own realities....both individually and collectively? What if the unconditional love of God is really unconditional in the truest sense of the word? What if God gave us all free will, because he/she actually wants us to experience everything, freely...and he really intended for us to use this free will, freely? What if it makes absolutely no difference to God, what any of us believe or don't believe? *sm*

IF it turns out that I AM wrong, then I will have lived a good life, treated others well, and will have done my best to be moral and honest. Nothing will have been lost. If it turns out that I am right, then I will live eternally with Jesus and all my loved ones who are Christians and I'll be happy forever.

What if the atheists are right? What if the Muslims are right? So what?

I'll have lived a good life and will have no regrets.
I will not have forced my beliefs on anyone, nor will I have hurt anyone and been a hypocrite in my dealings with them. I'll have made others happy instead of angering or mistreating them.
THAT is a good thing.

Have a nice afternoon.

What if they're wrong??? Nothing. They continue to have a share in the world-to-come right along with all the other righteous of the nations! They are not responsible for all the atrocities committed in the name of Jesus unless they themselves were the perpetrators!

Easy now. There are other parts of the Old Testament that reflect a possibility for the Trinity (Isa. 48:16). Why is the verse in Genesis "taken out of context?" Do you speak about yourself in the plural? (I will concede that Elohim is probably plural "Gods" because it refers to his plurality of majesty).

Why do three people show up at Abraham's tent? Who in the world is the messenger of Yahweh? Why does he accept worship from people? Angels don't accept worship in the Scripture. Who is the Spirit of the Lord that comes upon the prophets?

Why does the word "one" suddenly eliminate all aspects of having three people in the godhead? We speak of singular things all the time that have different members (team, class, etc.) Do a word study on "Echad" (the Hebrew word for one). See what you find.

I am actually very interested in studying Judaism, so please do not be so ready to have accusations. In fact, I will soon be applying for a Ph.D. program in Judaism in Antiquity and Early Christianity, I probably won't get in, but I am still interested in this.

First things first, I'm agnostic.

And I have thought this exact thought! I think there are theories that Jesus was mentioned in the Jewish bible as a prophet that dabbled in sorcery? that was stoned to death, but I dont know all the facts... other than they don't know if they were really talking about Jesus since it was a different name in the Jewish bible

Scary hmmmmm

Judaism extends salvation to non-Jews. Christians and Muslims are covered, too. This salvation is dependent on whether the non-jews follow the 7 "Noahide" laws, summarized below:

1) to establish courts of justice;
2) not to commit blasphemy;
3) not to commit idolatry;
4) not to commit incest and adultery;
5) not to commit bloodshed;
6) not to commit robbery; and
7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal

That's enough to get a ticket in.

All in all, we'd be better off with getting some stuff wrong, than those of you who reject God completely. Lets just say I doubt any of us would want to trade places with you at judgment. You can waste all your time here doing nothing but trying to unconvert us, but it simply won't help you one bit. I really don't understand all the intolerant atheists on this board. What happened to letting people believe what they chose to believe? When did you guys appoint yourselves as the anti-god gestapos? I personally could care less what you believe or don't believe, so give us the same courtesy.

One thing is for certain. History as recorded by the Jews is far more reliable than the one recorded by the Christians. Did you know that the Jews think that Jesus may have been fathered by a Roman soldier named Pantero. They even know where his grave is. Many interesting facts about the founding of Christianity.
