I honestly do not know. I am naturally skeptical by nature. I think I would have been turned off by the hypocrisy of some. Thus, I think I would have been hard for me to embrace Christianity. I would have had a lot of questions that would not have been answered.
At the same time, I had my own crisis of faith in highschool where I was forced to make Christianity my faith and not my parents. I do deviate from them in quite a few areas. However, the basic core of the faith has not changed and as I study more, I am more convinced that it truly has historical validity.

Being raised in a Christian home I took for granted what I was blessed to be born into. I am a second generation Christian. My family has a hindu background. I would honestly say that had I not been born into a christian home I believe that the Lord would have found a way to draw me to Himself.
Taking into mind that we have been predestinated and foreknown to God ... " Because those whom He foreknew,He also predestinated to be conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the first among many brothers" Romans 8 :29
So I do believe that the Lord would have made a way to seek and find me.
During my early 20's there was much seeking in my heart to know the Lord in a deeper way. He is indeed a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. He brought my family and I out of just being religious Christian people and into a real Chruch Life experience where we meet with brothers and sisters who just love the Lord and Hold fast to His name and His Word.
So its mercy all the way and HIs grace reached me .. wretched sinner that I am...

If I wasnt raise the way I was raised then I would be predisposed to not want religion. I cant say that Id be a christian now or not.
but personaly If I chose to walk away from God, Id probobly have commeted suicide by now or be some stone faced not a care atheist.
Id be a good person though, staying away from drugs, alchohol and the like and smoking, but only cuz i think those are stupid anyway.

And what has that to do with the validity of Christianity? Probably if I had been raised differently I might have different views. So, let's say I was born in Asia...I'm raised Buddhist.
What bearing does that have on whether or not Christianity is valid?

With my personality, yes. I do think so. I think even if I hadn't been raised in a Christian home, once I got exposed to the knowledge of God, I would have wanted this relationship with Him that I have now.

I was not raised in a Christian home. My parents are both lapsed Catholics and Agnostic at best. I was not spiritually influenced by my upbringing.
The theory that Christians are Christians because it is how they were raised is obviously flawed.

No one can be "raised" to be a Christian... being a Christian has nothing to do with what family one is born into.... or what country... or race or ethnic background.... Being a Christian is a designation that is only valid if it is confered on one by God.

YES...my parents never forced religion on me! It was never about the traditions of religion in my home. I even went to school to study all religions and I still believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer. I know w/o a shadow of a doubt that my God is real. maybe ppl might not see facts, but it is truth. And there is only one truth... I can honestly say that yes even not growing up in a Christian home, I would still have come to know Christ as my Lord and Savior...

well, i grew up in a christian home.
i didn't know what i was doing. i didnt know what or why i believed. as a high school kid i questioned, and in college i stopped going to church.
what i did realize, however, was that i needed something. and that was to seek, somehow, what was Good, Right, Meaningful, Positive, Healthy and Wise. and that led me to the church i attend now...and i personally feel really Happy and Joyful and Blessed....and i also think that as long as anyone really Studies and Learns all different types of religions and theories in order to find the "meaning of life" so to speak...as long as they are seeking what is Good and Right, i personally think it'll lead them to God. but even if it doesn't, i think it will lead that person to PEACE, and whether or not others disagree, that person will not be angry or defensive, cuz they know waht they believe.
good luck to us all :)

It would depend,
Because if I wasn't raised in a Christian family,
Then i would have wayy different life experiences,
and it would also depend on the people who introduced Christianity to me.
Because so many people nowdays,
say there Christian,
But they don't act it.
So it just all depends.
