Stop looking for it.
The moment you stop obsessing and start living, you're going to find yourself more attractive to others AND you're going to find yourself less clingy and dependent on love to get you through a relationship.

Most people I know including myself have found true love when we were not looking for it. I was an online dater for years, I got sick of the games and crap so I decided to take a break from "looking for love". Thats when I meet my boyfriend 2 years ago, we have been happy and in love ever since. He moved in with me after 6 months and we are still going strong!!!!
So I would suggest not to try to hard and it will come to you when you least expect it.

First, learn to love yourself and to like your own company. then you can enjoy your time alone without the desperation of searching for a mate
Second, Persue your own path, if you don't know what it is, find it and it is not named Jack or Susan, the path of one person's life can not lie inside the pathway of another. You follow your path, do what you like, learn what you want and become what you want to be, create your world.
Third. While you are persuing the above suggestion, you will notice a group of like minded people who are following similar paths, enjoying and persuing similar things. One of those will stand out above all others, it will be some one that you not only fall in love with but also someone with whom you fall deeply into like with. That is your very best bet for finding true love. It worked very nicely for me

You usually find what you are looking for when you stop searching for it. You need to be happy with yourself and have fun with your friends. When you do that, really do that, you will seem more attractive and approachable to others and may meet your real love.

This might sound stupid, but to find real love, don't look for it, it will just happen one day. Did for me 26 years ago, and still with her, and still in love with her.

Some people say love finds you. Just go out and try to meet new people. Try going to cafe's, bars, clubs, etc.

have a full life and tons of respect for yourself first and you'll have a better chance of meeting a good person. remember, love goes both ways.
