Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.
True Christians are primarily interested in WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES (see Scriptures below).
Meanwhile, trinitarians repeatedly pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.
The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

I cannot say that some in those religions may not be saved. But I can say that the doctrines are not consistent with sound bible teaching. But the main reason we question whether a person claiming to be a Christian is really a Christian is because the bible says that many false prophets will arise, people who claim to be Christians but are not. We who are real Christians can tell that some of them are not like Hitler, the pope that ordered the inquisitions and the KKK. We know by their deeds that they are not true Christians. Sorry if that offends you but that's the truth.

I am Mormon - I just wanted to answer... We consider every marriage "good" before God, that is performed the correct way, whether civilly or in the temple. BUT, the only marriages that will last through out eternity are the ones sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise in the Lord's temple. All others will end when "death do you part." Even in a temple marriage, the couple is still bound by covenants, there is no guarantee, but as long as we keep our covenants, our marriage will be in full effect in the eternities.

Many mainstream Christians don't consider JWs or Mormons to be Christian.
Like another poster said, it really is individual. Christian sects (and I include JWs, Catholics, and Mormons) teach Christian ideals and principles, but it's up to the individual to develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus.
As for "oh yeah", LdS don't kill people who leave Mormonism. I don't know where you heard that slander.

Most non-Catholic Christian denominations accept Catholics as Christians. A very few do not.
A dictionary would say that a Christian is someone professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
Catholics would fit this definition.
In the Nicene creed, from 325 A.D., Catholics profess:
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are baptized as Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
We truly are spiritually "born again," we just don't usually use those words.
With love in Christ.

1 John 1:6 says: "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:" And in Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
So according to the Bible not my opinion, catholics, JWs nor Mormons are Christians. A Christian is a person who follows the lifestyle/teachings of Christ Jesus. Many people make the mistake by thinking since they go to church they are a christian. You will probably laugh at this, but if you stand in a garage, does that make you a car? If you put on a doctors uniform or a police officers, does that make you a doctor or a police officer? No on both accounts. He or She that talks and lives by what the Bible says is a Christian.
Your salvation depends on your relationship with God. And the Bible does say in Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;..." we need to go to church. There is no Christian-at-Home program. Email me if you want me to go into further detail.

I will not make a concrete statement about Jw's and Mormons as I really have no position either way on whether they are Christians, but any Christian who knows anything about Christianity will acknowledge that Catholicism is a sect of Christianity.

All the groups you posted are Christians. They all believe that Christ was the savior of the world and follow his teachings. Therefore, they are ALL Christians!
However, the following gives you the "proof" you so desire about the LDS. Ask a Jehovah's Witness for their proof and a Catholic for theirs. I'm LDS. Here's mine!

Just because someone calls themself Christian doesn't make it so. Some people don't even understand what being a Christian means. Some Catholics are Christian. Catholics that think being baptized as a baby makes them Christians are lacking in understanding of Christianity. Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are not biblical Christians as they've changed who God and Christ are.

Catholics are Christians, the first Christians. The reason why some Protestants don't think that is because they think that the Catholic Church doesn't go by the Bible.(Which I completely disagree with.)
