Nice question! I like your name too lol. Anyway I would say yes and no. I’m currently working towards my bachelor’s degree in interior design...which I do enjoy but my heart is someone else. I would get more satisfaction from helping people.... like being a counselor, therapist, motivational speaker, talk show host etc. I want to do that because I’ve been through a lot in my life and would love to take what I’ve learned so far, and share it with other people for their benefit. That, I believe comes from my spiritual side. I feel that God wants me to help people. I really do because not many people have let bad experiences such as the ones I’ve been through, make them...but I did and it wasnt easy. So yes for my future career and no for the present.

I wouldn't be doing bio research right now if I were still a fundamentalist religionist, but I probably could have managed had I stayed Catholic.
However, life really is more interesting when you're an atheist, since you don't have to look at the marvels of nature and mathematics only to complain that ghosts are more interesting.
But then, I'm more toward the math side anyway.

Neither for me.
I'm a Christian and I teach English to Spanish speakers. I see no correlation.
I've also recently picked up a second job bartending at night to bring in some extra cash, and I don't think that conflicts with being a Christian either.

interesting question.
yes and no. i work for a non profit that helps old folks get to doctor's appointments, entertainment etc...so even though i only do administrative work, i feel i'm part of the "Works" of the sites and helping make peoples lives better.
would i not take a job because of my beliefs? I doubt it unless it was for some commie pagan God hater club. for the most part i try to keep God and politics out of my workspace. unless i'm YA!!!

No but both were the direct result of abnormally high intelligence and curiosity.
I am an atheist and a mathematician by the way. Perhaps my career at NASA played a part in strengthening my atheism though.

the answer is both yes and now, I've wanted to be a psycholgist as an attempt to help people sort out problems and to teach them how to solve them. However I believe that religion, or at least religion when possible, is a good tool to help out when needed

I don't think so. I mean I would not do something that I feel in my heart is wrong, but I would not pass up a job opportunity based on my religion.

yes, in a way. many pagans have a love of knowledge and like to find out about other cultures and such. being a travel consultant allows me to do that
