This weekend we wherer driving north on 205 in Washington State and within a matter of 15 miles about 7 or 8 California plates drove by.....Why not change your plates over IF you live here....Why not be legal about it? Cops are cracking down and lots of natives are more than eager to turn you in...

It IS a big deal because they are not paying the taxes we are. Also to the gentleman below. Notice I said IF they lived here. If they dont it's not an issue. And I am familiar with the military...

There are many reasons for not getting that done. New to the area, time constraints or maybe just lazy? At any rate, when the time comes, they will make the change or get cited at which point the State makes money and they fix your roads...

Since Seattle is a major tourist town during the summer, did it occur to you that they may be tourists? License plates in Washington are much cheaper (now) than in California.
Additionally, there are a number of military bases in western Washington. Military people from California may keep their California plates the entire time they are stationed here.

It's not that big of a deal. Here in CA, there are MANY cars who are from all over the country: Vermont, washington, arizona, nevada, you name it.

THEY SHOULD MAKE THE FINES LARGER AND OR SUSPEND YOUR DRIVING RIGHTS.
