How many children and women have been killed by Saddam???

2007-07-03 07:17:31 · answer #1 · answered by gman992 3 · 11 2

Did you ask the Insurgents the same question? Yes, a question with a question. It's wrong, and your question is wrong.

Granted, one person's terrorist/insurgent is another's freedom fighter. Throughout history the 'freedom fighters' don't normally kill the people for whom they are trying to provide freedom.

There will always be senseless and wrongful death during a war. With insurgents using children and women in their plots and plans, not all that have been killed were innocent. There have been women caught with bombs, and weapons, and conducted suicide missions. So, just because they can carry a child doesn't mean they are innocent and can't do damage and cause a death. The same goes for a child or early teen. If either one pointed a weapon in my direction in anger, I wouldn't have a problem sending rounds down range with them as the target. If you are wondering how could I do such a thing? Well, I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. You would do the same in the same situation, and don't say just because it was a woman or child, you would allow them to kill you.

If the war was/is a violation of the UN, then let the UN step forward with charges. Your energy should be spent campaigning the UN to move forward with charges against the US and UK.

When Saddam killed the first documented large numbers of his OWN people back in the late 80's, where was the major uproar and fight for justice by fellow Muslims in the region? His actions were illegal! (what the hell is unlegal) Now here you come with this BS. Where is the uproar about the insurgents using women and children as shields? In the early days of the war, Saddam used women and children to fuel the propoganda machine...government office by day, bomb shelter at night. WTF!!!!!???

I am not for this war, but we are there. Why aren't you asking about the Iraqi government? Why are they getting off their flat, chair molded butts and get their government on its feet? As soon as they do that, the US and UK will get the hell out of there. At least that is the current plan anyway. Want the US and UK out of Iraq, then get Iraq to get their crap together so we can roll out. I'm sure every single US and UK troop wouldn't have problem packing up EVERYTHING, loading up trucks, and looking at Iraq in the rearview mirrors. At that point, no more 'innocent' women and children will die.

Bingo! We have an ignorant one here! He can't spell and has no idea of what the truth is because he can't read the reports. Or maybe he's actually a fellow-traveller of the terrorists, trying to make a bogus propaganda point.

The UK and US are not trying to kill women and children although a few get in the way when we are after terrorists. The terrorists are trying to kill women and children. Guess who kills more, the ones not trying or the ones trying? Bingo! It's the ones who are trying, the terrorists.

Geneva conventions have nothing at all to do with having a war, they are to cover treatment of POWs. The UN specifically passed a resolution which stated that Saddam had to comply or force would be used, but the UN is too weak to enforce its own resolutions. Therefore the Coalition Forces invaded Iraq.

Facts will not change your mind, it's solid granite anyway.

However many it is it is one too many, however British and American pilots do not set out from their bases to kill innocents. It is a sad fact of all wars that innocents get killed but that is not the prime intention.

When some retard blows himself up in a public place the intent is to kill innocents.

Thats the difference.

Also if the suicide attacks stopped in iraq tommorow and the Sunnis and Shiites started living with each other peacefully, there would be no British or U.S troops there within six months.

Remember: You're an idiot; Unlegal is not a word.

Remember: The initials for the United Nations are U.N.

Remember: Only neutral countries have actually followed sed Geneva Conventions.

Remember: There is no war in history in which women and children have not been killed a result of bombings, some have to die to take out a dictator

Remember: Don't diss the US, Yahoo is a United States company

Hey 60's relic, choke yourself. How many innocent mountain yaks have been unlegally killed by big bad mountain lions in the snowcapped regions of kurblakistan?

Humans kill just as all other animals in existence, would it make you feel better if they were killed by drunk drivers or starvation or because they were newborn girls in China. Would it make a lick of difference if the war was legal according to you? How about you make the hard decisions wise one, be the president for a day and act on your intel reports, or a bomber pilot putting his life on the line with wife and kids waiting for him to come home hoping he isn't killed by suicide bombers, sniper rounds or shot down and beheaded, or the unit commander of the pilot trying to accomplish a mission like forward protection of this country while ever mindful of collateral damage because of armchair scrutinizers and the fact that no true warrior desires or aims to kill innocents.

Nobody's condoning killing of innocents but it happens, it's a part of war which is a part of life.

You ask this question as though you know the answer already. The abuse our lads really have to put up with from WOMEN & CHILDREN is far worse than what the news reports. 'Lucky shots' from a civilian meant my partner carried the coffin of his 18 yr old pal. Really alrough two wrongs dont make a right unless you have been to iraq or seen what really goes you really cannot comment. My man has nightmares everynight because of the bombs & motar attacks. There are no winners only losers

I don't think the number is even close to the amount killed with terrorist planted bombs, suicide bombers and the execution squads that target the opposite religious sects. I would venture to guess that the TV pictures and personal interviews with the Rag Heads don't take into account the large number of bodies of women and children that the terrorists haul around in their trunks so they can re-use them at any location of a US fight or bombing!! Remember, this is not a war! This is a Police Action because of the UN mandates that were broken by the country of Irag under Sad Man Huinsane!! USMC 60-68

How many were killed by Saddam, and how many are being killed everyday by insurgents?

Before you have a opinion may be you should go to Iraq, just tag along with a American/British patrol and see how much good we do that will never make it on to the news because it wont get the ratings and isn't the "HOT STORY"

I love the stupid questions by well meaning idiots who have never been out of the country they live in, and base their opinions and views of the world and whats going in it,on a biased media and what they heard a Friend say.

Less than 1% I guess? And no, the war is not illegal according to the Geneva Conventions...you should do some research before spouting off at the mouth!

Iraqi civilians killed by US troops number less than 1,000. We track 'collateral' casualties by name and _every_ incident where Iraqi civilians are killed by US troops makes the headlines of the news media.

Also: you lost your credibility when you claimed that the war is illegal per the 'Geneva Conventions.' By making this claim you have only demonstrated that you have no idea what the GC says.
