I do....I also boast a healthy dose of sarcasm and a general disdain.

I consider them valuable tools to avoid being tricked or conned. I am skeptical of salesmen, politicians, and clergy men because they all ask for my money. I want to know what I'll get in return for my money. This isn't as much a virtue as it is a self protection mechanism. The opposite of skepticism is faith, believing in something without proof.

Certainly they are virtues! Being willing and able to question everything you here is part of logical investigation. The opposite of skepticism is faith, which is the utter certainty that something is correct despite logic and evidence.

First of all, God Bless you for your question.
Secondly, both are virtues. God doesn't want blind faith--otherwise He would not have given us free will. He invites scrutiny and doubt. Jesus didn't scorn Thomas for doubting His resurrection--He proved Himself. God still does the same if you are an honest seeker of truth.
As for the opposites, they would be not only blind faith, but also blind disbelief. To reject the truth simply because it doesn't fit your self-imposed parameters is just as foolish as blindly following without discernment.

No, I don't, but religious people do ...
add: EVIL, fear, greed, corruption of power to religious virtues.
Here's the simply Solution for religion:
Eliminate religion from Your Life, A.S.A.P.;
Freedom of religion is Freedom FROM religion; religion is Spiritual fraud;
Universal Truth eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago;
Accomplish this:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.
<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
