rear projection high def tvs have a high intensity bulb that needs to be replaced about every 2 years at about $300. does the laser tv have a similiar bulb that also needs to be replaced? how does laser tv work . I hear the colors are brighter. what about cost.

Mitsubishi makes the LASER DLP tv sets.....it removes the need to replace the lamp and gets rid of the Color wheel and it's motor.....

It presently is the most expensive TV in the Mitsubishi Line right now....but it's worth it.

SYCO of China released a 120-inch Laser TV, the biggest in the world so far, and it will be used in cinema in late 2007.[1]
