Because we don't go beyond what is written.

1 Cor 4:6 Now, brothers, these things I have transferred so as to apply to myself and A·pol´los for YOUR good, that in our case YOU may learn the [rule]: “Do not go beyond the things that are written,” in order that YOU may not be puffed up individually in favor of the one against the other.

Jesus calls on his God and Father. (Rev 3:12)
John says Jesus has a God and Father (Rev 1:6)
Peter says Jesus has a God and Father (1 Pet 1:3)
Paul says Jesus has a God and Father (Rom 15:5,6)

Jehovah says Jesus is his Son.
Jesus says Jehovah is his Father. (John 17:3)

To believe Jesus is more than the image of God is to be blinded by Satan. (2 Cor. 4:4)

No, I don't.

Here's why:
The word trinity is not in the Bible, and Jesus made clear that the father was greater than himself. Many references taken out of context, or slightly mistranslated make it appear that they are one in the same... but the only clear statements supporting the trinity are actually additions not originally included in the Bible. (The biggest that comes to mind is 1 John 5:7, almost universally recognized as being wrongly added to the Bible... but still quoted by those who support the trinity quite often)

In short, the Bible never calls God a trinity. Jesus never mentions being part of a trinity. The apostles and early Christians did not believe in the trinity. It was a belief added to Christianity hundreds of years after Jesus' time on earth.

If you were to read the Bible cover to cover, (a fairly neutral version... i.e. American standard or such) you would find no reason not to differentiate God and his son, Jesus, as two seperate beings. It is being taught the trinity, and reading specific passages out of context in order to support the doctrine that breeds belief in it... not any so-called proof present in the Bible.

real Christians do no longer believe interior the trinity because of the fact Christianity's founder, Jesus Chrisrt, in no way taught it. in accordance to the trinity, God exists as 3 co-equivalent, co-eternal persons. this sort of concept quickly contradicts Jesus' words that his Father is the only real God. (John 17:3)

I don't believe in the Trinity...I believe in Oneness. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are all encompassed in the spirit of God.
The Father is the Spirit itself. The Son is the portion of the spirit that was born of flesh to go to Calvary and save mankind of our sins. The Holy Spirit is the portion of the spirit that dwells within us when God fills us. Trinity describes the three spirits as separate entities, when I believe that they are all of the same spirit of God.

I believe in the three COMPONENTS of the trinity but not in the trinity itself. Read the gospels... ALL of them... with an open mind and you will see that Jesus has in no way shape or form placed himself in a position equal to that of his Father. Scriptures that are used to support the trinity are explained elsewhere in the Bible. "I and the Father are one"? Well in John 17, during his last prayer, Jesus also said he and his apostles were one and that together they were one with his Father. If you think about it, the scriptures refer to God Almighty or THE Almighty God. Does it not to a disservice to this Almighty God to make him co-equal to two other parties? Is it then not a mis-nomer?

I cant speak for those who don't but I do. I think theres no way to get around the Bible supporting a Triune God. (3 aspects of One God) most of the time people reject it simply because they dont understand it, but it's wrong to reject because you dont understand, especially when the Bible says that's how it is. Many nit pick and just say it has to be false because the word Trinity doesnt appear in the Bible...well "Bible" doesnt appear in the Bible either, and we dont assume that means it's false ;)

It's all about the definitions. The Great Commission (Matt. 28) speaks clearly to the trinity, and it is central to the faith of the Bible.
