Convections bake faster and more evenly especially great for desserts. I'm having a new convection oven and microwave/convection combo put in my new house. Seems to be the way to go. One just has to learn the difference in baking times but there is a convection conversion dial on each.

I finally got a new oven after 12 yrs of wedded bliss (lol) I picked out exactly what I want, glass front, glass top and convection. I love it. I havent found a down side to having a convection oven. I like that something that takes so long to cook can be baked in a shorter period of time now and with cakes, brownies muffins etc. they bake more evenly in LESS time

I find my convection oven is smaller than a regular oven, so regret buying it.
