I'm having my wisdom teeth out in a couple weeks and I've heard some people lose weight afterwards because it is hard to eat. I want to lose weight anyway, so how can I maximize my weight loss after the surgery?

FYI, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "DENTAL DIET."
IF PEOPLE EAT LESS AFTER GETTING THEIR WISDOM TEETH PULLED, IT'S BECAUSE THEY EAT LESS.
TO BEGIN LOOSING WEIGHT THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO EAT A BALANCED COMMON SENSE MEAL AND TO STAY AWAY FROM SODAS, SWEETS, AND JUNK FOOD.
AN EXERCISE PLAN WILL GREATLY BE OF BENEFIT.
