Part I Exercise Routine.

Do this every day if possible, but more realistcally 3-4 times a week. Get a treadmill, or run outside if it's nice out. Run for 5 minutes at a constant, leisurely pace I suggest something like 5-6 mph. At the 5 minute mark, run as fast as you can for 30 seconds, I do mean as fast as you possibley can so at the end of the 30 seconds you are out of breath.

Go back to the leisurely pace for a minute or until you have enough energy to sprint as fast as you can for 30 seconds again. Don't take too long though, I wouldn't rest for more than 2 minutes tops!

Repeat this pattern until you have sprtined 8 times. The total session should last about 15-20 minutes depending on your resting periods. Once you're comfortable doing this increase your sprint durations to 1 minute.

This is a proven way to burn fat calories. This type of cardio burns 40% fat calories while you're running as opposed to the standard 50% in long distance jogging (steady paces), but uses up the glycogen stored in your muscles. The result is that after doing this type of exercise your metabolism is raised for the next 24 hours! This is science, it's proven. Look it up if you must it's called HIIT, High Intensity Interval Training.

It's just 15-20 minutes of exercise 3-4 times a week and you'll shed the pounds.

Part II Diet.

Always eat breakfast. Eat smaller meals, but have healthy snacks through out the day. Cut all soda from your diet, fast food must go, limit junk food to a minimum. Fruits, Veggies, Whole Grains and lean protein are your best friends. Drink water, lots. Just use your brain on this one and read the nutritional facts of what you're eating. The average adult needs 2000 calories a day. You should be aiming to cut 3000 calories a week at least through diet (3000 calories = 1 pound a week of fat gone). The rest of your weight loss will come from the exercise.

You won't lose 40 pounds by september, but you might be able to lose about 2 pounds a week depending on how your body reacts to it. People that are heavier lose weight faster. So the first month you might lose between 3-4 pounds a week, and then average off at 1 lb. a month after that.

Your target weight loss should be about 15-20 lbs. or so by week 1 of september, at the end of september you should have lost about 20-25lbs. Not quite 40, but still damned good.

Good Luck

Set a more reasonable goal, three pounds a week is about the most you can lose safely. (Unless you weigh over 300 pounds...)

Restrict your calories to about 1000 per day. Drink diet soda/lemonade instead of sugary drinks and switch to skim milk. Eat several smaller meals throughout the day, perhaps a cup of light yogurt for lunch. Use low calorie salad dressings. Snack on an apple instead of chips. In short, eat healthy. Drink water to keep hydrated.

As for exercise, start with walking. Try to get at least one hour of exercise four times a week. This will help raise your basal metabolism.

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.com

I have to say the easiest and fastest way to lose weight is the atkins diet. You see results really fast. For the most effective weightloss with atkins you should only have 20 carbs a day. but i only eat up to 4 carbs a day and I eat good to.
this is what I do:

Breakfast: 2 egg whites
Lunch:Salad with chicken in it
Dinner: Steak
Snack:Celery

and I drink a lot of water. The foods really do fill you up so this is a weight loss program only you can still eat lots of great food. ok well I hope I helped. =)

1- learn about nutrition- diet plans don't work, you only hear success stories because thats what people want to promote- the simple truth is that more than half of the peopel that go on these "canned" plans fail because they are doing a MAJOR shift in thier lifestyle to fit some gimmick diet into thier lives.

the best thing you can do is learn about nutrition and substitute bad foods out for healthy ones while meeting certain caloric and nutrition and vitamin guidelines (from food) that will help you loose/manage your weight and be healthy too.

Diet books are a horrible place to start as they tend to sell "thier method" rather than what is healthy.

I would reccomend you start with the following nutrtion book that examines eating tendancies and attacks the USDA food pyramid (old one) and gives a very basic overview of how certain foods affect your body.

Eat Drink and be healthy, the harvard medical school guide to healthy eating. Walter Willett, M.D.

after that- that is not the end of your search, you should look into further detailed nutrition information that you now have a basic understanding of and won't feel overwhelmed as you have a basic background and are familiar with the concepts.

Then you can read whatever diet books you like to supplement it as you will be able to see for yourself who is full of it (atkins) and who is not.

As for excercise you should look into High intensity interval training. for weight loss and short burst sports, it is far better than flat running at the same pace. also for weights circuit training is better for building lean muscle.

excercise is NEVER a substitute for healthy eating though as it takes you much longer to burn off calories than it does to scarf down some unhealthy foods.

good luck to you.

If you're beneath two hundred kilos, then scientifically, probably the most you'll be able to potentially lose in four months is sixteen kilos of fats. You might lose extra kilos of muscle or water-- however fats is what makes you seem fats, and probably the most fats you'll be able to lose a week is a million. If you relatively starve your self and endeavor a ton, you will be in a position to lose two kilos a week. So through September you'll be able to lose sixteen kilos when you do it healthful. If you relatively starve your self and killing your self, possibly, maybeeeee you'll be able to lose 30 kilos however it is not most probably neither is it nontoxic.

The facts are that you have to reduce calories and exercise.

Walking, jogging, playing "WITH" the kids at the park. Bike Riding

It really dosent matter. Exercise raises your Motabolism. Eat smaller meals, this also raises it.

Cut calories and exercise.

first you have to make major changes to your diet. you have to eat only when your hungary & no junkfood. make sure you eat plenty of fruits & veggies. drink plenty of water. no sugary drinks, or soda. also try to throw out sweets. you have to exercise daily. even if you dont wanna go to the gym, you can walk, jog or run outside. do sit-ups. try doing active sports, like track, soccer, volleyball, basketball, or swimming. in the summer its fun to swim, so when you go to the pool, you can fool around, but you can also swim laps. but make sure you eat. but eat healthy. do sidekicks, kicks, crunches, sit ups, run up & down the steps & if you go to the gym, go on the elipticle, tredmil, the stationary bike, the exercise ball, even try weights. dont expect results after the first day & dont weigh yourself everyday. weigh yourself once a week. & you will eventually see results

Good luck! & i hope i helped!
