My best guy friend and I are slowly making the transition of best friends, to more. We were watching the sunrise on the beach and started to kiss passionately for the first time ever. I began to kiss his neck (I had been fantasizing about this moment for a month, since he lives out of state) and he said that he wanted me to stop because he wanted to make love to me and I was making him want to F*** me instead. .. But he continued telling me he wanted to make love to me. He is a man's man by every mean, the full out picture of an american guy. So when he tells me this .... what does it say about his range of feelings for me? What is the difference guys, to you, of F*** vs. Making Love ... and when you tell a girl you want to make love to her, whats the deal?
by the way, there was no intercourse of any sort, we just laid there together...

When guys just want sex with no-strings attatched to a girl they have no feelings for, thats considered "F*cking".
But when they really like the girl, and have feelings for her, they want to "Make love" to her, because it/she's special to them.

Ah yes, one of the age old questions where the responses just have not kept up with the times. The obvious answer: making love of course.. this is because "just sex" or casual sex, or any other label just refers to in it's raw grab/screw state.. Not much fun and definetly not emotional. *** An updated perspective *** 1) To make love you must be in love.. So where does that leave the subject when you are single and not interested in a loving life partner?? 2) PASSION is the answer; You can and should touch souls in the process.. i.e. don't just rush into it.. Take the time to come out from behind whatever emotional barriers you have and really feel the person you're with. - We prefer to call it "sensual sexual gratification".. It's not "just sex" but it's not making love either... It's the next best thing to sharing Love and intimacy for those of us that do not get emotionally envolved easily.

Different people will have different perceptions of what each means. Some see both as the same.Making love involves more passion, feelings, emotion and allows for a greater connection between the persons involved. F**king is more of a no strings attached arrangement. If a guy wants to f**c* instead then that means he isn't really interested in you on a deeper level.

It sounds like he has a double standard. He is willing to have intercourse with anyone he finds hot, at this point in his life. But it sounds like he believes making love is something you do in some type of known, committed relationship where the feelings are all out on the table. So, even though you have known each other a long time, he might have viewed this passionate time on the beach as a one-nighter since you had not committed to each other.

Sex and making love may sound the same but they might have different meaning. Sex at its very nature alone, without looking at the intention of the doer, is really for the purpose of procreation or for the sake of making a new life. Sex for everybody's information is the highest expression of love because you commit yourself to your partner. In this scenario, if your guy tells you that he want to make love with you, that only means that he wants you to feel his love and not only the pleasure that the intercourse brings.
Having sex or F***** as you said grabs a different meaning. Although the process might be similar, it is the intention that differentiate them from one another. When one says "hey girl i wanna f*** you hard" that means he wants to get it on then leave. All that he wants is pleasure not to express something for you. He just want to satisfy his cravings as a man not to let you feel the warmth of his love for you.
So if your guy tells you that he wants to make love with you,,,more or less his intentions for you is REAL...

first it could be that he just got really excited. there is no true way to know if your going to make love or have sex until that moment comes. if your are a true soul mate or just a what i call this day in age than you will more than likely think its makin love but in reality it will be sex. do take your time for just couple of months dont mean love. it can take 1yr or more to truly know if this is the person who needs to fill you in every way to make love like you should. yes romance can be a part of it and passion but LOVe is a strong word and feeling. also p.s. IF THE occasion does rise USe protection for noone can be safe these days. GOod luck.

Making love is on a more passionate level. You feel not only each other, but your feelings for each other at the same time . It's showing affection while having sex. Almost gentle and sweet. I'm just realizing it's hard to describe.

to me having sex is just getting off and having fun. but making love is a different emotional state more romantic just a more loving touching cuddling kind of sex. even in a relationship you can just have some good long lasting sex play or you can make it a slow romantic moment. lets just say sex would be like doing lots of different positions or lots of different play things. making love would be more sensuous eye to eye so kissing passion type with someone you love.

Making love involves passion; you want the other person to feel the love you are giving them with in the act. Touching one another softly and slowly, taking your time. Sex/F*** is different; you have a primal hunger to fulfill, you don't care what you are doing because it is lust and there is a fevered rush to complete the act.

When you F someone it is purely a physical response to how your body responds to another person. It could really be any person. When you make love with a person it is an act of love and is the sharing of the emotions you have for each other.
