port authority provides transportation to 6 flags in Jackson, NJ. You can inquire if they have any buses heading to dorney park in Hershey PA. Metro North have passes to take you to Playland in Rye NY

A great waterpark is Splish Splash You can go to Penn Station and take the LIRR (THE RONKONKOMA LINE) to Ronkonkoma and take a cab or you can just go to the splish splash website (GOOGLE IT!) and mapquest its addrees and yours for the best route to the park
