If the problem is that you often wear sandals or shoes without socks, your best bet is to find a lotion that does not irritate your skin and locks in moisture or better yet a salve, (they are better for really dry skin) apply an ample amount on the dry parts of your feet and wear socks to bed. From experience, this works! Also try a pumice bar and use that in the shower once a day. It'll help remove the dry skin and even out the cracks. Also try occasionally, if you can, to wear sneakers or a closed pair of shoes. Even just once a week, it will help soften your feet up again.

If you do wear closed shoes and socks on a daily basis you may be dealing with a fungus like athletes foot. This can be easily treated but I would recommend seeing a doctor so you can get the right medicine (many which are over the counter) and start the healing process asap.

I'm always either barefoot or in sandals and so I have this problem too. What I use is a product called bagbalm and its great for softening and moisturizing skin. It comes in a green tin box with red clovers and you can get it at most drugstores.

Good luck :)

I've got the same problem. They do sell cracked foot cream for this. If that doesn't work, this is what I do. I soak my feet in some hot water and some dr. scholl's damaged foot powder. Then I dry them off and immedietly rub the thickest lotion I can find on them. If cracked heal cream doesn't work, try cocoa butter or shea butter. Then put on some loose fitting clean socks and sleep with them on. The socks will help keep the moisture in your skin. And also, when you're in the tub and your feet have soaked a little, use one of those foot scraper thingies to scrape off a lot of that dead skin so you can get to the healthy skin faster.

Personally, I think no cream in the world will work. Since I get cracked heels from time to time, as crude as this sounds, I file the dead skin off, with either a pumice stone or a nail file if I can't find the first. After that's done, give soaking your feet a try and then use a good moisturizer with some olive oil or something, Shea works too, so does cocoa butter.

I haven't found a cream that works, but one product that I can almost guarantee as the newest best thing, is the new Olay Thermal Pedicure. It's slightly costly, about $9.00, but I have never had anything make my feet so smooth! Even after one use, I was highly impressed. If you were to use that, and put lotion on, I'm sure you would notice dramatic results. It costs way less than a pedicure too, and you can do it all yourself. ;)

Get a Swedish file and use it on your heels and dry spots of your feet. You can find it in the footcare aisle at a drug store. I've used pumice stones in the past, but the file gets rid of the dry dead skin. I usually file before I get in the shower.

Also at night when you sleep, slather on some Vaseline or a really heavy lotion and put socks on when you go bed.

Pedicures always work wonders, but they can be a little hard on the pocket book. Also, drink lots of water. H2O does wonders for the skin.

Wash you feet and apply vaseline before you go to bed.
Vaseline is the best, you will see the difference in
coming days.
Safflower Oil is good also. After taking shower every time,
apply it. Keep those dry areas moist. If safflower oil not
available, you may use olive oil or coconut oil or any other
oil. Cut down on fried food, fast food, sugar.
You must continue to use the above for a few days.
Dont leave gaps otherwise it takes longer to recover.
Get it well soon. Bye for now.

I just discovered this excellent stuff called Blue Goo, and it comes in a little jar with a blue top. It's at Wal-Mart for like 2 bucks a jar. You just take a little bit of the goo (which smells nice) and rub it into your cracked heels for a few minutes. Within days you will see some results! This is the first summer that my heels have been crack-free thanks to the Blue Goo!!! You have to do it every day, though.

Also, once your heels are healed up, you can use a pumice stone on them in the shower every day. They are so cheap, like 99 cents, and you just rub it on your heels in a circular motion when you're in the shower, and that will smooth them out.

They do a special cream for just that - cracked feet - I used just some ordinary moisturiser - slapped a load on - then put on an old pair of socks and kept the socks on during the night and slept with them on. I do this if the problem recurs.

AVON has a hand cream that works wonders for cracked feet. I know, sounds strange but it's inexpensive and won't hurt to try it. Plus when you try it you'll be hooked.

It's called INTENSE or INTENSIVE MOISTURE THERAPY HAND CREAM. Don't get just moisture therapy. It's not the same.

It is under $2.00 in a tube. I've gotten it as low as .99 on sale. They have lil purse bottles too. That's if you want to try it b4 you buy regular size.
