I'm not talking about time, if earlier or later. Everyone of us has his time and a way to discover. I'm talking about progressive state of conscience. Don't you think that even a mental sick get its talents from the birth? If not, what is it? A poor man to kill 'cause useless as nazi system could do!?
Then, what do you think purpose come from?

I don't know what you mean with 'bad answers'. I'd like having your opinion.
However, I agree that experience, conditioning, events, can be the 'motor' to make us discovering or aborting our abilities, but we can find what we don't want to look for. The talents I say are necessarily like God's talents. So, if we are created at His image and likeness, I think we should try (at least the believers) to maintain this purpose. There are many way to do it, I don't know all of them. But I know that one of Their teachings, arrives us from the Genesis (Bible, naturally, eheheheh). First state of conscience: the rocks, ground, minerals. Second: trees, flowers, vegetables, etc. Third: the animals. Fourth: the men (and the women), a creature having conscience of himself and the ability to choose and change. Fifth: the divin state. Wow, an arithmetical and progressive state of conscience! One of the talent, I think is to recognize our state to assume true responsibility about the other states

Sorry Tom I was forgiving you! Obviously, as the answer say, I'm talking about God's talents. God calls us personally with our real name, not the registrar's office's name. If we are ones, we must have our personal talents, my talents doesn't belongs to no one else. So yours. In our true names are hidden, I think, our talents. We have to discover them. That is the work we have to do in the life before having fully conscience to live.

You are getting some really bad answers. I'm sorry for that. Your question is valid. The simple answer is no, we are not always conscious of our God-given talents. Yes, people, many of our special abilities or talents are God-given. One of the purposes of life is to discover those talents. By the way, a talent is not necessarily just a manifestation of the fine arts. A talent or ability can be any number of things. Some people have a talent for empathizing with others. They are sensitive to others feelings. Some have a talent for teaching or describing concepts to others. Some have a talent for work, they are doers and get things done. Some are blessed to have technical or scientific insight that can be used for the benefit of mankind. If God is going to reveal something new in medicine, He won't send it to me, He will send it to someone who has the ability in that field to use the revealed truth that is given. I have read stories about doctors who devised a new procedure while they were already involved with the surgery and the thought or insight came to them while they operated, thus starting a whole new way to handle that type of problem.
I consider myself to be good at words; thinking and expressing thoughts and ideas for the benefit of others. Is it something I developed in school, yes; but I wouldn't have developed that ability if I hadn't already had the predilection for that discipline in the first place. Likewise, you could say the same about musical or artistic ability but I wanted to make the point that such gifts extend beyond that realm.

No, sometimes we can't believe we are so good at something that we even downplay our talent. Many amazing singers and preachers don't discover their talent until later because they don't want to seem "self righteous". Then there are those who neglect their true talent because they want a more glamorous one like singing or preaching (which they show off exactly how UN gifted they are).
may I suggest "A Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, this book explores how your life's talent is directly related to your life's purpose.

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.
<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Are You conscious of Your Free-Will?

No, we are not aware of them unless we TRY to use them...
How would you know that you had a talent for singing unless you tried to sing? or a talent for writing.. unless you wrote something.. etc.
