Modern libraries have more than two sections.. you should visit one someday and find out where the Bible is kept...

But, to answer your question.. NO they do not put the Bible in the fiction or non-fiction sections.

Bibles are included in the Religion and Philosophy section of the non-fiction books. They are the "100's" in the Dewey decimal system used to classifiy and arrange books in a library. As such, they are found at the beginning of the library books, and seen as the foundation on which all other wisdom and knowledge rest.

It certainly has fiction in it, but it also contains religious and moral lessons and a few nonfiction letters and some poetry, so it's probably right to put it in a religion section or a reference section. Of course, I'd put all the religions/mythologies together.

Still, the contents are too diverse for it to be straight fiction.

They're probably too scared to put it where it belongs in the fiction section.

I mean, think of the anti-abortionists torching buildings. It would be a shame were all the other books to get burned.

Beautiful Lady,
In our hometown, they place it in the Non-Fiction in the Religious section. If you do not regularly read, study, and obey it then you need to get involved in a local Non-Denominational Bible Study Group. I would be glad to assist you in finding one if you need my help. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds
