I found a recipe for Greek chicken and tomatoes. The seasoning calls for dried mint. I have mint flakes. Is this the same thing? If not, what can I use as a substitute?

How old are the mint flakes? After a period of time, they will lose their flavor and intensity.

I would recommend using fresh, or as an alternative, crush up some altoids. It is an intense mint flavor with no color.
