I have 3 children, ages 16 (girl), 7 (boy), and 5 (girl). Any suggestions on what colors they should wear and what they should wear? They are not in the wedding but guests. Thanks everybody!!!!

My wedding was just this last October. My suggestion would be to have them wear colors of leaves ex: Burgandy, Maroon, Green, Brown etc. They would look great in pictures with the same "theme" of colors.

Ooooooooooh I love October weddings!!! The children don't have to match the whole bridal party but fall colors would work well. I agree, no white and no black. The girls would probably wear a nice summer/fall colored dress and your boy could wear a suit no? I had young children at my wedding and the boys all wore suits, they looked so cute!

If they aren't in the wedding party, then they should just wear their good clothes, whatever color they happen to be. I wouldn't recommend white, off-white, or black - especially for the older girl - because these colors are often considered inappropriate for guests to wear. Other than that...let your budget and the clothes they own determine what colors they wear.

I don't think it matters what colors the guests wear, although I'd say avoid white, and don't wear all black.
Fall colors would be nice: red or maroon, orange, gold, yellow, nice shades of brown or tan. Dark green might work, too.
You could find out the bridal colors, and dress your children in corresponding colors that complement, but don't exactly match, what the bridal party will wear.

Are you in the wedding? If they are close to the bride get them clothes that some what match the wedding party to make them feel like part of the wedding and proud of their aunt! Let the 16 year old pick her own clothes!

Have them go with you to choose their outfits. Girls, dresses in any color but pastels. Boy, dress pants or nice khakis with a fall-colours tie. That should do it!
