Sing the abcs together while she waits on the toilet. Also clap and praise when she flushes the toilet. i used to work at a day care attending "Waddlers" 12- 24 months....they loved to flush the toilet...so be care when getting them started on that! hahah

IF she is really ready to potty train, then
i always started with pullups, but my daughter tried to pee in them because the designs go away like magic. But they helped with my boys. My daughter didnt potty train till i bought her real undies and told her that ariel, dora, etc didnt like being wet/dirty. I kept diapers around for when we went out, because she always fell asleep in the car, and for at night, because it wouldn't wake her up. But just get pretty undies and tell her she can't wear them until she uses the potty. Dont make fun of her or get angry when she has an accident, because she will, but help her understand she cant wait too long. also, take her and sit her on the potty every hour or 2 and keep her occupied so she sits long enough, (sing a song, read to her, etc) and when she succeeds, praise her praise her praise her! make such a big deal out of it that she feels so big and proud that she wants to do it for you.

However, you say she will soon HAVE to be potty trained. Be warned, if there is a baby on the way, sometimes big changes can reverse all the work you put into potty training.

dont rush her wait until she is ready shes a baby let her use her diapers

when the time does come take her once an hour every hour and use panties at home reserve the diapers or pull ups for when you r out no need embarrassing her if she wets little ones wont tell you when out and tend to fall asleep in the car. and for bed times naps and at night no need washing sheets fifty times a day either, expect accidents they will happen

It might sound odd, but this worked for me - let her run naked, and keep the potty char VERY handy. She's more likely to pay attention to her needs when there's no undies to block the breeze she creates when running. Don't use Pull-ups, all they are is a diaper that's harder to get off.

wait until she is COMPLETELY ready or you will just have to deal with accidents and headaches!
