If so are they any good? Are they too soft? Are they comfy over bumps? I hate punctures, I always get them all the time Im looking into alternatives. Just wondered if these things are worth the money?

I've used the brand No More Flats and still have it on my MTB, they used to have a website. The 27 1 1/4 was easier to install than the mountain bike one. The mountain bike one you will need at least three hands. The 27 inch one feels fine, but the 26 inch mountain feels weird in rutty trails and soft trails. I started using these because like yourself I would get a flat every time I went out and that was very frustrating.

I have never had one go off the rim and I've never had any deterioration of the tire.

I agree that you do lose some of the tread eventually, but the biggest caution is that your rim takes a beating. I tacoed the rear wheel and managed to get it back to true, but it hasn't ever felt the same.

I just checked a new site called nu-teck and this company offers 700c time trial and 700c high pressure tires.

I have used these before. They work great for just cruising around the park and fireroads, but I had a tire roll off rim on a hard braking turn after a about 6 months of use. It looks like the materials starts to degrade and gets too soft causing the tire to come off the rim. Make sure you use wire beaded tires. Hope this helps.

Go tubeless with Stans or similar. The foam stuff just adds weight to the worst part where you could add weight (rotational mass), will not cush as well as tubes or tubeless.

they are worth it, put them in my son's tires, he wore out the tread on them, they never needed to be patched or replaced
