Just wondering some thoughts on this...

Girls like it when a man takes charge and "instruct" them. Guys for the most part will ask a woman for her number, ask her on a date, etc...

So if I guy says "Let's go out tonight" as opposed to "Do you want to go out tonight?" is there a more positive response?

Another example is "Here's my number, give me a call tonight" as oppossed to "Can I have your number?"

just want some opinions on the asking versus telling philosiphy in men's approaches to women

It depends on the woman. Some women want to be led around because it's easier than thinking for themselves. Some women will punch your lights out if you try to tell them what to do. You better make sure you know who you are dealing with before you start ordering a woman around.

It all depends on the woman. I for one, do NOT like being "told" what to do (unless it's in a private setting, like the bedroom). In public, and in real life, I think a mixture is a good thing. In asking/ telling her about going out tonight, just say "Hey, what do you think about going out tonight"? It's asking her what she thinks, which women like. As for the number thing, give her your # first, and then ask if you can call her. Don't be offended if she says no. She's got your #, and when she calls you, you'll get hers either via caller Id, or she'll give it to you. Women do that these days for protection. You sound like a great guy! I think it's great that you're asking!

I think that most women like to be asked instead of told. I know there are women who still think that Men are the MAN and women the lil humble servants. I know that I prefer to be asked and I think it is a great idea don't ask for her number,, give her yours and if she likes you she can call. Do not know about anyone else but that makes me think that you are secure and confident!! If i weren't married I'd go for ya!!

When I'm first starting to see a guy, I don't want him telling me what to do at all. The guy is not in control, I am, and he can come along for the ride if he wants to. That said, I never give out my number, but I will take them. ;)

It depends on how self confident the guy is and if he's hot enough to pull it off ... And, how he says it... if he leans over close, with a sparkle in his eye and says let's go out tonight... in a "sweet, yet hungry voice" I'd melt... But, if he stood on the other side of the room and barked at me let's go out.. I'd think no way...

i think it's sexy when a man takes charge if a guy says here's my number call me i'm going to call him cause that's confidence and confidence is sexy. if you ask for my digits that means theres always the option of getting a no you can't have my number. that's annoying and again confidence is sexy. however if you say it in a really arrogant way you can stick your digits up your @ss i will not be pushed around

Asking in a positive way is the best in most cases. It's all about respect-if a female respects herself she doesnt want a guy telling her what to do-

and the way to self respect and be respected in what one asks is= any decent girl expects to be respected.

and this is a guide to help you understand= John 3 repent from sins, even one lie and ask Jesus in to be your friend and help you understand, amen.

this helped me most the words of Jesus spoken from heaven for us= Revelation 1:1 (chapter 1: verse 1) & 3:19&20 "As many as I love I rebuke and chasten, be quick therefore and repent (turn from your sins/even one lie, to me. Behold I stand at your heart's door and knock, if you hear my word and open the door, I will come in and be your friend."

so i prayed "Jesus forgive me for my lust and lies, and other things and help me do better, be my friend, amen."

and truely Jesus became my best friend.

then your ready for the respect of others and the joy of life and heaven too=Seize the Day with Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Simplicity of the Good News
"It will always be true that the wisest course for the disciple is always to abide solely by the word of God in all simplicity." - THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP
Putting God's Principles into action
We can make it all very difficult. In fact, we can make the good news obscure. We can make it an object of historical study, or the focus of a philosophical or ethical treatise, rather than a word which addresses us and challenges us to believe its precepts and to live accordingly. What is difficult about the Bible is not so much in understanding it, but in living it out.
What the Bible is saying
But God has blessed you, because your eyes can see and your ears can hear! Many prophets and good people were eager to see what you see and to hear what you hear. But I tell you that they did not see or hear. (Matthew 13:16-17)
Thoughts
The disciple wants to hear the Word of the Master and, because he or she loves the Master and is loved by Him, finds the Masters words believable and livable.

Praying the best for you too, David

depends on the woman, some might find the telling a little offensie while others we be taken back by it and like it. Some women may find asking a little soft while others find it sweet.

various situations. yet i don't recognize if it fairly is a reflex project, it rather is purely that they weren't looking forward to it! i might wager in the event that they knew that it replaced into coming, they might have blocked it.
