just a few questions who knows about these things:-

1) is a painful (recovery)
2) eating will i be able to eat straight away?
3) will anybody be able to tell that ive had bone take from my jaw (my surgeon said not) and he's one of the best in the area, but i want to make sure.

My periodontist used cow bone for my grafts. I never even knew they were there, and they were so small it would have been impossible for anyone to see them. She told me not to use a straw for 2 days, but I had no dietary restrictions. It's no big deal.

This is nothing new. You will have some soreness. You may limit your diet to soft foods for a few days...you will be able to see what you can and cant eat. The surgeon should harvest the bone from inside the jaw. Your doctor should give you post-op instructions after the procedure.
