well first there would be the Connor or Dr. to pronounce death occurred. then body is taken to a morgue. for autopsy or embalming. then body is placed in a casket, or creamated, there will be a funeral,or memorial service. IF you have frends and relatives whom care you have died.
The soul returns to our creator. The bible says the dead know nothing. So the dead await the judgement day when Christ second comming happens.

I read the answers, and most of them are really sad. I don't mean sad=not too good, I mean sad=no hope. Just because most people don't believe in God or Jesus, that doesn't change the fact that He exists. In the Bible God tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You just need to accept His gift. Then you won't need to wonder where you are going, you will know.

Uh, no, you don't know, unless you've already been dead. You may have faith in what you *believe* will happen, but that's not the same as knowing.

Student: Master, what happens to us when we die?
Zen Master: How should I know?
Student: But you are an enlightened master!
Zen Master: Yes, but I am not a dead one.
