A true atheist doesn't make fun of Christians. However, social atheists (the ones that like to call themselves atheists) do. Here's why.
Christianity believes there is a God. Atheism believes there is no God. A true atheist sees no point addressing what he/she does not believe exists. However, social atheists address it and make fun of it in order to have a social identity.
If social atheists believed in something, their beliefs would stand on their own. However, they derive their social identity from NOT believing and therefore must prove that they do not believe in order to fit in. So, in order to impress other social atheists, they make fun of those who believe. Also, they give themselves pet names like "Free Thinkers" while labeling those who do not share their NON-belief as weak-minded or foolish.
In order to have an identity, a social atheist is bound to the believer. That is why social atheists make fun of Christians.

I make fun when they fail to accept a theory without any knowledge about it, or simply because they don't want to accept it.
Christianity should not preach ignorance.
Yes it would be nice to think we were created in a supernatural God's image, but I think we should search for the TRUTH rather than mindlessly believe a story.
By the way, not all atheists believe in evolution, and most intelligent Christians do.

i don't think people are going to take you seriously for using a simpsons clip. and i do agree that humans are probably more than a coincidence. they also aren't little drones some god winked into existance.

It is fun to make fun of Christians. They are little people who hear voices in there heads and think everything is a sin and we are all going to hell. Also they like to think anyone who is not a Christian is a lower person who is going to hell.
