I am a Christian, and I have children in the public school system. There are two sides to this issue.. and I'm not quite sure what your question, or if you even had one. But please bear this in mind: Our entire country was built on Religious Beliefs of God - not Buddha, not Mohammad, not ANY OTHER GOD. Christianity has been taught in our school system for hundreds of years. That is why we believe that Christianity should be taught in school as it always has been. I did not think that I should have to listen in science class about evolution, because I disagree with it, but guess what?? Too bad... On the flip of that, I don't want a teacher telling my child about other false gods in school as much as you don't want your kids to hear about God... so, this is very much a conversational item that you will no doubt hear a lot of different sides about.. but please remember, there are TWO sides to this issue - keep an open mind to the other one.

I really *really* like this question for two reasons: one, because it may cue people in to some of the hooks that cults use and two, because it is unique and original. I'm giving it a star and will come back frequently to see the answers. Sorry, I don't have an answer.
Oh wait, I do know some. "Hear no evil, speak no evil." Means stay ignorant, silent and obedient to the dogma of the time. Also, "Curiosity killed the cat," must go back to dark ages, and again, says knowledge is dangerous.

This is not a catch phrase, but the interpretation that
suicide bombers take it upon themselves that leads them to do
"acts of terrorism".
"He is not a dead the one who died a martyr but alive with his lord being provided for".
Unfortunately, suicide bombers interpret this to go and put suicide bombs and repay their host countries for the kindness
they have been shown. MArtyrs are not "normal" dead people.
They do not pass through punnishment of the grave.

I think "you'll burn in hell" if you don't believe this have been quite effective, and I can not improve upon that.
However, I have no desire to maniupulate people with religion, so I would never stoop to those tactics.

We will dunk you under water for 15 minutes... if you die, then you were not a witch; if you survive, then you are a witch, and we'll burn you.

Here's a few:
"We're ALL God's children"
"We all make MISTAKES"
"God is too much of a gentleman to send any one to hell'.
"God loves sinners".
"There's more than one way to heaven".
Do it your OWN way - that appeals to all of us.
