In the year 325 CE, Constantine (a non-baptized Pagan) convened the Council of Nicea to settle disputes in the Church. The council changed Jesus from man to God in the flesh, they changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, and the Passover was changed to Easter. Among the nearly 200 Gospels circulating in the first three hundred years of this era, the Catholic Church canonized only four. Origen, the great Catholic father, confirms this fact: "And not four Gospels, but very many, out of which these we have chosen."

While it is true that Christians got a break from the persecution for a time, it wasn't too long before the Catholic church took up where Rome had left off...only now, we had "Christians" doing the persecuting.
This is just my opinion, and as such, probably not worth very much...but it seems to me that Constantine did more harm than good when he "legalized" Christianity.

Constantine merely appropriated the teachings of Jesus for political means. the good parts of these where soon lost as the Jupitor god worshipers soon pulled Rome back under that spell and so it has been ever since and why there are no female popes Roman Catholics are not Christians they are merely using Jesus to perpeptuate the Holy Roman Empire Jesus talked about forgiveness there is very little forveness in the Holy Roman Church, they are a patriarchy it is a very scary thing in deed. As you your self can you imagine how many people have been robbed for the vatican. Would Jesus really agree with all of the pomp and wealth the massacre of the Incas r gold to the Vatican the Vatican is glory to man god needs no such ediface,

First of all people don't need ruling. Second of all doesn't this prove religion is man made to control the population? It doesn't matter who they used as a religious figurehead or god. It's their intent with it. They have prospered from it and they can get the sheeple to do what ever suits their fancy at the time. Awakened individuals see the stupidity of "following" anything. The cost has been the religious detriment of the human race. They now have us killing ourselves with no regard for tomorrow.

Did you know that the cross is an ancient symbol of war?

Constantine also had the bibles rewritten and had many passages in regards to Jesus eliminated...to further his power. What was the good that came from him? We are still thinking that the bible is truth..yes, for the most part it is, but we are reading bibles that have been edited by a self righteous dead man.

It was prophesied to happen the way it did. If you dig deep into the kingdom parable of Jesus, you will see that this was not going to be news to Him.
