I know this sounds wierd, but I always see these myspace chain letters saying "If you dont repost this then you're denying God"
And I always feel guilty. Does God really count myspace bulletins? I never repost chain letters. But I always repost those ones because I feel guilty...

Don't allow other people to make you feel guilty by not re posting their chain letters. Usually when I get one of those I don't re post unless it's valid and I believe it would be of some benefit to someone else.

God started the first chain letter. When he's not checking out Myspace bulletins he's reading the Y!A R&S forum to see who gets more thumbs up vs. thumbs down.

No, you should not feel guilty. Chain letters play to fear and doubt in people's minds. If there was a deity, he certainly wouldn't need any sort of chain letter.

God is not in these chain letters one bit, no matter what people says or thinks, They try to control your mind out of fear.

i used to work at a newspaper and people would post these prayer things. in the prayer it said you had to pray for something then when it comes true, you have to repost this in the paper. do you know how many poor seniors came in and spent their grocery money on these? you say you feel guilty about not posting, well i felt guilty taking their money

These schmucks are effectively denying God themselves by using God's name and linking it to stupid superstitions.

I ain't a Christian myself, but even if I was, I wouldn't reply on the grounds that these people are taking the Lord's name in vain.

I don't trust anyone who claims to speak for God. I ignore those types of letters and sleep very well at night.

Shouldn't this make it very clear to you how religion uses psychology to keep you in line even when something obviously makes no sense to you? You're not a puppet. Think for yourself.
