I really want a tattoo of a cross on my right arm. I have a hang up about getting it done though as I wear glasses (quite trendy ones mind)
I don't know if having a tattoo and being a "four eyes" would work/look right. Is there anyone out there who has one and wears glasses? What do you "20-20" vision people feel towards glasses and tattoos?
Thanks ;)

Many, many thanks for all of your replys. All of you have been most helpful. I am now going to go ahead and get my tattoo done. The reason why I'm picking a cross as my tattoo, is because I had a near-death experience, and I want to have something to commerate my "redemption"

Glasses are sexy. Tattoos (good ones) are sexy. Glasses + tattoo = double sexy! :)
I think you answered your own question in the very first line when you said, "I really want a tattoo of a cross on my right arm." The whole glasses and tattoo concern is based out of worry and fear and how other people will judge you. On the other hand, your excitement about getting the tattoo is based in joy, happiness, and enthusiasm. Happiness is a better guide on this than fear. Follow your dreams, whatever they are...even if it's just a tattoo on your arm. I would be a lot more focused on the tattoo, personally, since it's permanent, than I would be on the glasses, which can be taken off, changed in style, and switched with contacts from time to time.
Please don't let hang up's about other people's judgements of you prevent you from doing something that will make you happy. If you have legitimate concerns about the tattoo itself, or about how it might impact your career field, etc., that is a valid avenue of thought to travel. But to worry about it clashing with your glasses is a lot like worrying about what strangers on the street think of the outfit you wear out to dinner. It really doesn't matter what they think of you; it matters what YOU think of you. ;)
All that said, I just got my first tattoo on my wrist a couple of days ago. It's highly colorful and visible, and I do wear glasses or contacts. It did not even occur to me...not even once...that these two might not go together. I think you're okay on this...now go get that tattoo if you really do want it as you said, and enjoy liberating yourself from what other people think of you! :)

What a ridiculous question! What do wearing glasses and getting a tattoo have to do with each other? Unless you're talking about getting the tat somewhere on your face! If you're the type of person that cares that much what other people think of your glasses or a tattoo...then you're probably the type of person that will get a flash tattoo right off the wall...then have it removed in a couple of years. Don't bother unless you're sure...it's permanent!

Glasses havent got anything to do with tattoos. My hubby wears glasses and is covered in tats.
If you are apprehensive about the tattoos dont use the glasses as an excuse.henna is a nice alternative or those 50cent stick on tattoos from the grocery store machines might work for you.Ive seen airbrush "tattoos" at fairs
Ive never looked at someone with glasses and tattoos and thought badly of them because of the glasses I dont know anyone who has

I can't imagine that one would affect the other in any way. I have tats and I wear contacts, but sometimes I wear glasses. So does my husband. And my sisters, also my niece. Not everyone out there with tattoos has 20-20 vision.

I am a huge geek. I wear glasses and going in for tattoo #5 in a few weeks. I never felt funny for having tattoos and glasses. If it's something you really want, then go for it.
I also do not regret any of my tattoos nor will I want them removed at any time.

HONESTLY... i don't think you would look stupid at all.. I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT THIS... anyone can get a tattoo... tattoos look good on anyone.. if their in the right place.. for example.. you wouldn't want some overweight woman to get a tattoo say on her stomach and start showing it off.. although some men find this attractive.. most don't.. i don't think your glasses are a problem at all.

Here's a question for you first, who are you getting the tattoo for? Yourself or everyone else? If you like the tattoo you are going to get.... get it for yourself, its going to be on you. With that said, I have 7 tattoos, wear glasses and contacts, some of the tats are visible and some are not, I show them when I want and to who I want. My body, my choice! Gotta love it.

That has to be the strangest thing I have ever heard....who is thinking about if someone has tattoos and wears glasses????? Don't be so self conscious...nobody is making judgments about how cool you look or dont look because you have glasses. I have many friends who have both and the thought never crossed my mind

If you want an tattoo that is all that matters. Don't ever worry about what other people may think or say because it is what you think that matters. The only people that would call you names or think bad things of you are the ones who don't have anything better to do with their time. It is not your fault that they don't have a life. I say "GO FOR IT!!!"

i think it would be fine, i dont see a problem with it. My dad wears reading glasses A LOT and has a tattoo of a sun on his shoulder (and is thinking of getting another one). Anyway to the point of this answer...i dont think it would look weird as long as ur glasses r not just HUGE (like big circular ones).
