Well I just got a tattoo, and it's the second day and it feels a little dry , Is it normal? I'm afraid it might come off! All for nothing,

I don't have vaseline! So I used a Mexican Product called Vitacilina, it's a Baby diaper rash ointment skin protectant .. Is it OK to use this?

Congrats on the new tattoo!
The aftercare instructions given to you by the artist/shop should talk about a moisturizing regimen. Definitely if it feels dry, use what they recommend for such. Most places recommend unscented stuff like eucerin & generally a couple of times a day. Follow their instructions before you listen to us, though. Don't get too carried away with moisturizing. You can get an acne like effect on the surrounding skin, and even the tattoo, if you soak the skin too much.
Don't worry, it won't come off. The first week or so will see the upper dermal layers peel off much like a sunburn, taking with them the excess ink. The tattoo will get a little gray & shiny as the new skin shows up, settling into it's permanent look from 1-3 months after you got the tattoo.

Oh, a tattoo cannot come off. There is no way that can happen. Now as far as it looking dry, I imagine it is the scab forming. Most tattoo will scab over while healing and then peel, like a sunburn. Just keep applying the ointment the artist gave you as instructed, and do not pick or peel it.
If you are still worried, drop by the parlor. The artist can always look at it for you.

if it feels really dry, make sure you use something that can moisen it i have never heard of the product you are using, but if it is clear or yellowish it is probably similar to a&d if it is thick and creamy, like zinc based produsts i would choose something different, like a moisturizer. If its already feeling dry you can probably expect some scabbing, just dont pick it let it heal naturally and it should look good!

I got mine last week. It's going to peel. It's normal.
I used something called ink fixx to keep it moisturized, but I know some people use Vaseline. Keep it out of the sun and from getting soaked.
The peel is just the surface - the ink remains.

It won't come off, the ink is injected into your skin, the top layer can scab over, at the end of the day you've just had a needle dragged across your skin.
first thing is DO NOT pick at it, if you do this you could *uck up your tattoo, just make sure you keep it clean and follow the guidlines that your studio hopefully gave you.

DO NOT USE VASELINE or the like. It smothers the tat which is not good because the tat needs to breath. Use an unscented lotion like Lubriderm Frangrance Free.

it wont come off if it is perminate.... if it feels dirty wash it with soap and water and pat it dry... then put the cream on it .. do not use vasiline it is not good...try using Bacitracin or Vitamin A&D ointment they work very well... use those for about 1 to 2 weeks then you will only have to put regular lotion on it .. the lotion has to be a non-sented lotion i used vaseline Intensive care on mine it worked awsome... dont worry about peeling it will peel alittle bit ... just dont scratch and dont pick at it slap ifit is itchy good luck

It won't come off, don't worry about that. Just keep it well clean and sanitized and make sure to keep A&D or another ointment on it to help with healing.

Mine felt the same way when I got it. I was afraid it was going to come right off. At times it felt so dry I kept applying more Lubriderm to it. Also your supposed to be applying a burn cream like A&D ointment to it.

It won't come off. Use A&D ointment and keep it moist until it heals. It won't come off, but if it scabs then it will look bad, kind of patchy and the color will look uneven.
