I have had the growth on my lower back for twelve years now. I am so super duper scared that if or when I get it removed, I might get terrible results, and much worse, I might die.

oh no not at all. As long as its just a growth....its most likely a fatty tissue type of growth. Its not a big deal at all. Now I am sure that they will biopsy it just in case. or do some further examining of it. The medical field is so advanced these days you will do wonderful. you might have a small scar.

This is a standard procedure. If it is on the outside of your back, you probably won't even be alseep during the procedure.

The chances of you dying are around .00001%, so don't worry. Are you afraid it might be cancer? Well, it probably isn't since you have had it for 12 years; but, if it is, the sooner you know the better you are.

I'm sure your fears are substatiated, but unless this "growth" is malignant in some form or fashion, what could possibly happen to ultimately result in your death? It's not as if you are having your vital organs removed.
