It surely can't have negative consequences because it would be a good thing for them to go straight and withthem being a leader in the gay movement, it might make others decide to go straight for the Lord..

It's wonderful that he's found Jesus, and it's good that he has decided to give up homosexuality.
I hope he doesn't become a gay-basher. He should continue to stand against gay-bashing like the Matthew Shepard incident. I'm a Christian, and I participated in an anti-gay-bashing march down Fifth Avenue in NYC in response to the Shepard incident. (I didn't practice civil disobedience by marching in the street, though; I stayed on the sidewalk.)
I also hope that Glatze doesn't turn into a Right-Winged Republican. I've had enough of what I call "Southern-fried Christianity"!
He'll need time to establish his love relationship with God. Afterward, I hope he will try to build a bridge between the gay community and Christians. Remember that Jesus said "Love your neighbor as yourself" and "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." He never said "Persecute those who disagree with you."
BTW, I believe that the poison of our American ultramacho mindset has turned many men toward the gay community for refuge. But that's just my opinion.

Hi,
I think it is a wonderful thing when a person leans on God for strength. It also shows that God is actively involved in each persons life if we allow it. Jesus really does save people from their sins. Now he's on the right path toward salvation! So you see, people make choices, and Michael has made the proper choice, and God has rewarded him for that choice!

I, too, am wondering just what rights gay folks don't have?
So, some people think it is wrong to be gay...big deal. Shouldn't they be allowed to say what they think? Does someone else's opinion really make any difference?
It looks alot as if Micheal has found peace and happiness. Let's just close his bedroom door, and be happy for him.
That's what I think, anyhow.

"Three former leaders of Exodus International, often described as the nation's largest ex-gay ministry, publicly apologized Wednesday for the harm they said their efforts had caused many gays and lesbians who believed the group's message that sexual orientation could be changed through prayer."

This almost seems like gloating.... This guy and Charlene Cothran really need our prayers right now. They're going to be under intense pressure to fall. The battle has just begun so don't celebrate yet.

Neat how only hard core conservative sites are reporting this huh?
I am going to laugh if its all a joke
But in reality I doubt you will see much of a negative effect. If anything it will bring the community closer together and only strengthen their resolve.

Great. Another reformed gay man, masquerading as a convert to Jesus... When he is caught with his pants around his ankles, ala Ted Haggard, I suppose you will all renounce him as being not a real Christian....
Truth is, this man was never a "REAL" homosexual. If he was, he never would have switched sexual orientations. Only a deluded mind that can make themselves believe against all evidence would be able to convince itself that it wasnt gay any longer.

well he could have been a fundie troll all along. this could have been set up long ago just to "prove" that gay can be cured by god. it's like terrorists setting up in the US and pretending to be US citizens until the one day they've been working towards, when they blow up some building killing as many people as they can
just a thought

If you were told since childhood that eating peanut butter could land you in hell, would you eat peanut butter with a clear conscience?
