As a single chemist's shop isn't allowed to sell you more than 32 at a time, draw your own conclusions - but if you try it, you won't enjoy it ! ! !

People have died from 8 standard tablets. The problem is it's absorbed into the body really quickly, so even people who change their mind, make themselves sick after 5 minutes can wake up three days later with multiple organ failure.
Which as people have already pointed out, is nasty.
The reason you can't buy lots is because you used to be able to buy botlles of 500, and there was concern that if people had that many on hand, they might do something rash. Whereas if you only have half a dozen in the house the time it takes to go get more will give you time to think and reconsider.
You can still of course stockpile them if you want, go into different shop etc. It's supposed to make it less eay to kill yourself, not impossible.

A Paracetamol OD is a particularly painful and slow way to die, this is the reason it is sold in fixed amounts. A lot of suicide attempts are spontaneous and so limiting the amount any one individual can buy on a 'spur of the moment thing' is a life saving strategy

paracetamol is one of the worst drugs you can overdose on because they slowly shut your body down they attack all of your vital organs over a period of time and you will suffer a lot of pain gradually so DO NOT take more than the stated dose, if you are feeling so down that this is what you are considering doing go to your docter and have a chat about what is making you feel like this, take care and i hope everything works out for you

Well 2 x 500mg tablets every 4 hours is safe. Anything more than that can them become harmful. If you took like 12 at a time, that could be fatal. Don't do it though. It's a surprisingly painful way to die: you'd think pain-killers would be "nice" but they cause many painful problems..

There is a difference between acute and chronic toxicity. Chronically, it's recommended that adults limit themselves to 4 grams per day. Acutely, there's no worry below 150 mg/kg body weight, roughly a gram per stone.

Lots - but first your liver fails and then other parts of your body get damaged. Not good really. You should not take more than 12 tablets a day. Also you should not take them regular because it is not good for your stomach lining - having a ulcer is awful. If it is a headache that you are taking them for, it may be because you are dehydrated - have a glass of water first.

You are not supposed to take more than 12 in 24 hours.
I hope your not planning to overdose.
It is a terrible, painful way to die.
You just don't fall into a nice sleep like people think.
You are lying in a hospital bed in agony as your organs shut down one by one.
If you are feeling suicidal please talk to someone.

Depends on lots of factors such as your metabolic rate and also whether you have any other risk factors such as alcoholic liver disease. As others have said you shouln't take more than 1gram (2 tablets) 4 times in any 24 hour period.

Probably any more than it says to take on the bottle. If you are considering that- then you should call a friend or a hotline.
Overdosing/suicide is never the answer. :-(
