Don't hold back now, just say what you mean. LOL! Hiring illegal immigrants may save the employer a few dollars and some paperwork but the real cost is measured in the ways which you have expressed. The real costs include ALL of the expenses which American citizens must fund from their own pockets. It is not fair for us to have to suffer this burden caused by persons in our country illegally. We need to immediately deport ALL ILLEGAL immigrants and require them to then return under legal circumstances IF their application for residency is approved. This is the only right thing to do. The truth is always easy and needs no debate.

I agree......cheap labor is at the base for all this. Can't compete on the "global" market with 3rd world nations on 1st world wages. Everybody is working for a "better life" no matter where they are on the scale. Problem is.....for many of us....that hope of "better" has been going away quickly. Education didn't pan out when they just turned around and outsourced the jobs or brought in cheap labor to take your place.
There is NOTHING free. Somebody is paying for it in one way or another. Even with things like section 8 housing and all........not all who need it and qualify, get it. They change the rules right and left to limit in other ways who gets it and who doesn't. Sometimes it's an endless spin downward with not much hope out...yet for others it's a free ride. There's just a dual set of laws and rules and standards. All I know is I pulled the short straw again.

Cheap labor is about the bottom of the list as to what the immigration issue is about. That can simply be corrected, if necessary, with a guest worker program. Personally I'm not convinced that it's necessary. The US appears to have plenty of people that appear to qualify.
The real issue is countries ability and right to control it's boarders and population. Population control is necessary to maintain an adequate standard of living. Unfortunately, this means that some people who wish to immigrate will not be allowed to. The best we can do is be as fair as possible as to who is allowed in. Violating the law by illegally coming into the country is unfair to those that pursue legal channels. Amnesty in any form should not be condoned as it encourages this illegal activity.
The attached video addresses the impact of immigration and population.

Most of illegal people getting those benefits is because they have U.S children. Even having U.S children they will not qualify for section-8 and about the taxes the majority of Illegal are paid the minimum wage, were they take a lot of taxes out which goes to those people working for the state, city and for those getting welfare which the majority are black people who are lazy and cant keep a job. And the bad thing is that those Illegal people cant claim they taxes back.

I personally blame every American who hires an illegal for the mess we are in.
As far as produce pickers if we used our inmates who are sitting in jail doing nothing but costing us money, maybe our jails wouldn't be as overpopulated as they are now and the farmers would save money and the price of produce would drop.
We need to stop giving welfare benefits to those who are here illegally it is ridiculous that we give them anything other than a bus ticket home.
I know a girl who's green card expired about 15 years ago and she couldn't find her social security card but when she recently went to the welfare office she was told not to worry about it they would push it through. If it were any other American citizen it wouldn't be done this way we would be @$%^ out of luck
JenniferinNy doesn't know what the heck she is talking about our schools are so overpopulated by the offspring of illegal aliens it isn't funny as far as a social security card see the story above and many illegals have stolen social security numbers. They are no longer hiding they are in your face protesting and sucking our system dry of any benefits they can get and they get more than you and I would.
You need to get a clue. I live in California and deal with them everyday and see first hand what is going on.

first of all i can't believe some of the response i'm reading, because when you look into american history, it's all about people immigrating somehow, those 12 million didn't get here over night, but people didn't complain much when the economy was ok, immigrants are just a scapegoat for the governments failure, search for answers and vote for the right candidate next time
