if not, then why this fear of doubting the bible?

2007-07-03 04:39:02 · 23 answers · asked by Anonymous in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

i doubt the trinity and the resurrection part of the bible.
i believe god is one but three. and i believe in reincarnation. it is just illogical why and how resurrection should there be.

And we could just as easily ask you why you fear the Bible by doubting it.

As a Christian, man's truth is more oftentimes personal/emotional knee-jerk reactionary truth of the moment. Not a sustainable or self-sustaining truth that transcends time and tide.

As a Christian, I am not afraid of God's truth.
I do not have fear of The Holy Bible, I believe it is the truth.
Not always easy to hear, not always easy to follow, not always easy to understand...but the truth is often difficult on many levels, that does not change the fact that it is the unbiased bedrock truth.

God says, "I change not." And He has not.
God says, "I can not lie." And He never does.
God says, "My No is no, and My Yes is yes."

Parent who REALLY loves his life and his children sets boundaries and has guidelines and lives by them...
So does Almighty God.

christians have evidence the same as athiests- it's just a different perspective. what's funny is your evidence might be real, but it is by the hand of God. i am not afraid to accept the truth- maybe you are? i no longer believe in God- I KNOW He is there- I have had "proof". just because you were not witness to my proof, doesn't mean i didn't get it. have you seen men evolving from apes? have you seen neptune for that matter? i haven't, but i believe it's out there based on other's pictures and written accounts.

Ha ! Ha !, see? You don't understand do you/ OMG!
We have no fear whatsoever of Doubting the Bible.

It is the opposite with you, you fear the Bible is true.
But you (of Course) will not admit it out pf pride and a hardened heart.

I mean, why do you come in here day after day trashing Christians? Do you not have anything better to do?
Oh, don't tell me you think it's fun, that is a sub-human inferior behavior, certainly it's not that.
And don't tell me it's out of a need to create conflict, that too is a sub-human inferior behavior.

It think it is because you do believe, just don't want to. so you keep trying to convince yourself by trying to convince others that God doesn't exist, and explain it away by saying that you are trying to "enlighten us" Save it, don't waste your time, I am hip to all that, seen all of your foolish arguements, nothing new under the sun there, seen that, heard that, got the T-Shirt, so save it.

I would caution you or those of you who "get off" on "trashing Christians" There are a growing number of "militant" Christians, who if you do not lay off, they will make what is happening in Bagdad pale in comparrison to what will happen here, I am not one of them, I think there ideology and theology is "skewed" at best, But I am aware of them, I for one am such that when it does happen, I will flee to the Mountains wilderness and wait it out. but in the meantime, this countries ecomomy will collaspe and we will be takenover by Canada or mexico and we will be less than a 3rd world country, and it will be upon your heads, not ours, because you would not leave it alone,

Your question makes no sense.
The Bible has been proven to be historically accurate time after time.
The Bible has never claimed to be a science text book. Not even once.
I'm not sure what you want me to doubt...
But if you'll include more information, I'll do my best to give you an honest answer.
God bless you!!

Another example of the common atheist assumption that religious people do not think. Just because someone believes differently than you doesn't mean that he is stupid; au contraire, if we were stupid, then how could we answer your questions (And why are you asking questions of us UNLESS you thought that we were smarter than you in the first place?)?

Religious people think about their religion more than you do; that is why they are able to answer the questions that you cannot.

From our point of view, it is the atheist who is afraid -- afraid of being held accountable for your actions by an all-knowing god.

Christians are normal people, if we were all honest then we have all doubted it at some point but the difference is that God has shown himself in the things that we have doubted him for.

During the 56 years of my life, like many others, I have searched for the truth.
I found it in God's Word.
It is said that one man garbage is another mans treasure.
Apparently it is also true of truth.
One mans truth is anothers fallacy.
The Bible is true, accurate and life changing.

One reason ; There is a difference in the word of God between the 'Bible' and scriptures presently in this country. Scruptural truth, I do not fear.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace. (Numbers 6:24-26 KJV).

No fear of the truth, that's why I study so much cosmology. I love knowing how that universe works. Idon't really doubt the Bible however, I just don't think the people that wrote knew what we know about science and how things work..
