Just see if you can stick to your favorite parts of the bible. Find something you really understand and use that in your every day life. Trying to understand all of the bible will be confusing.

well if a person gets a copy in a language they know, they are going to be able to understand at least SOME of it.
i mean, how hard is it to comprehend "in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth"? even if you dont agree with it, its still a pretty easy concept to grasp.

the bible works like the parables contained within it. you might read it once and learn one thing - then when you read it again you know more so you are thinking differently, and you might learn something else.....we learn line upon line - idea upon idea.
