with a girlfriend likes you a lot would he dump her and if he doesn't dump her why do you think he won't

i'm not trying to be a "homewrecker" or whatever i'm just getting mixed signals and am kind of confused

I know.... it may be confusing. Look at it this way: take yourself out of the equation for a minute. What would you think of a guy if he dumped his girlfriend for another girl? You might not think too highly of him, would you?

If he really likes you, he should come to you straight up, with no attachments. If he dumps his girl, it should be because he doesn't like her anymore, and not because he's trying to hook up with somebody else.

Bottom line, put him in his place. If you don't wanna be a "homewrecker" then don't be. Tell him you have no time for games and move on. It might be hard if you really like him, but trust me... this will save you a LOT of drama. There's plenty of single guys out there.

Remember that if he is willing to dump her for you then he will do the same when someone else comes around. He doesn't deserve you. If he won't dump her then that means that he is a good guy and that if you really like him that you should wait until he is done with her or move on because he may never break up with her.

I have been in that situation. Just remember guys have a knack of telling you all the bad things the gf did or does to him. But in the mean time he is in no way running to get rid of her, so evidently its not that bad. He isnt trying to leave her for you because he just wants play the field and still have a girl to come home to. Why sell yourself short, you mess around with him but thats all you'll be good for all the holidays, birthdays, family gatherings he wont be inviting you to go. Dont be second fiddle to anyone.

it depends on the situation, do you have a past with him? if so that complicates the issue. If he has a past with you that he can't deny, then maybe he would leave the relationship. Or he could be caught between his sense of responsibility, and his heart.

If you don't have a past with him, well then just flirt a little, and let the chips fall where they may. BUT DO NOT BE THE CHEATEE!!!!!!!!
