Well there both right because you stop growing 2-3 years after your first period but some people dont get there period till 16 or 17 sooo it depends on the person.

menstruation has nothing to do with height. people stop growing in their late teens. girls stop first, but it is different for every individual. girls usually stop at age 15 or 16.
