It seems disheartening that humans have not evolved beyond the pack mentality of killing one another over land, opinions, beliefs or ideas. We kill each other over ownership of land that really doesn't belong to us... it belongs to the Earth. We blow each other up because we cannot agree on who's God is real. We murder each other over resources and out of greed.
Is this it? Is this what we've evolved to be? Is this what it means to be God's children? I'm sorry, this isn't really a question but an observation.

Evolution is a constantly ongoing process. We still have our "wisdom" teeth, we still have vestigial tails, and we still kill over resources.

Since it takes thousands (maybe 100s of thousands) of years to succeed with a small evolutionary change, we need to find another mode of change.

Humans are capable of consciousness. We can use social training to augment and sometimes completely circumvent instincts. Part of the problem is that though our nurture systems evolve much faster then evolution they, too, are not keeping up with the new changes in our environment.

Evolution is pretty slow - but it takes a few leaps and achieves a lot all at once. the stuff I know about us but can't explain so presume there's a reason:
1. People born after WWII, nearly half are left-handed (or ambidextrous)
2. They all hold a pen to write in an odd way. I don't knowm why and can't guess.
3. Many of them have trouble with their wisdom teeth.

There was a leap with glycerine some years back. It never made crystals, then one day it did - not only in our laboratories but all over the world. Believe me - everything is changing all the time.

And who are you? A Biologist? A Scientist? or perhaps an Anthropologist? No? I didn't think so. Why do you suppose Sci-Fi writers portray Aliens as advanced emotionless creatures?

You don't see any leap from animals to humans? Humans always react just as emotionally and instinctively as animals? Logic and reason, the tools that make us human, we have evolved, it's right in front of your eyes.

The earth won't split 6 billion ways, unless everyone was willing to give up the computers and give everything they have away to be distributed equally. That would put us all starving. The strong take what they need.It is the natural order of life

Perhaps you have missed the point... there is nothing to indicate that man is the finished product.... ever think of that? 98% of all living things that have ever existed on this particular planet are extinct for one reason or another... Time is eternal....

Evolution is real -- indeed, it's a proven fact. But that doesn't mean that people don't pursue their own agendas, whether reasonable or not. As for god, see:
