It appears that 666 is indeed the right number, not 616. It referred to "a man", Emperor Nero, who was also a "beast" who persecuted Christians. It also appears that the warning in Revelations was a contemporary first-century warning about Nero and not about some end-time Anti-Christ figure. See reference below.
So, 666 is properly of historical rather then hysterical interest.

If you add 6+6+6 it equals 18. 18 is a nice number but I like the way 666 looks together.

If one is a Qabalist, then one knows that the numerical value of 666 is both the numerical value of the "Spirit of the Sun", plus it is the numerical value of "Nashimiron", a group of demonic entities collectively known as the "Malignant Women". I have good reason to believe this last is quite possibly why such a negative connotation has been long associated with the number, and why women came under such fire during the Piscean Age. This problem is by no means cleared up now that we have entered the Aquarian Age; until women get themselves together on a spiritual level and stop giving themselves over to vanity, materiality and assorted baseness and degradation, this particular evil will never be overcome.

I think the number actually is the emperor Nero's name. I seen this on the history channel. That is what the actual number means. He was a evil man who murdered a lot of the Christians.

I'm amused by it, as its a translation error. The REAL Number of the beast is 616, and it refers to Nero. The Revelation of John refers to the fall of the Roman Empire, specifically to the fall of Nero.

That is the mark of the beast in Revelations the antichrist that will force everybody great and small to take his mark 666 and anyone found recieving that or worshiping him will be cast into the eternal fire buring with brimstone. So what ever you do do not recieve his mark.
