"Judge not lest ye be judged."

And for those of you who are wondering why I have asked...there was a very innocent question from a young man who sounded very confused and not sure what to do about his feelings. A young woman claiming to be Christian totally tore him apart and I cannot imagine how he felt when he read her response. How Christian is it to do that to any human being?

Christians are to "judge with righteous judgement" (John 7:24). Our judgment of others cannot be based on superficial things like appearance or dress (see James 2:1-4) By making righteous judgments, Christians know the Sheep from the Wolves (Mt.10:16; Acts 20:29), the Saved from the Lost, the good from the evil, and the Word of God from the opinions of men. The Leaders in God's Church are above reproach (Titus 1:6) and they judge spiritual matters according to the Biblical standard. Christians live by that standard, and they call for others, including the lost, to do likewise. Must a Judge be perfect? The standard of measure for ourselves and others is not perfection; the standard is the Word of God.

I think all men are capable of judging. Christians are not supposed to judge- however when we stand up for what we believe, that is not judging , but others say that it is. I sincerely wanted to know why someone turned from Christianity to paganism- I emailed this person, and he wrote back that I was judging and that it was none of my business- if it is none of my business why is it plastered all over yahoo and his 360 profile? Please do not lump all Christians together. Because we believe a certain way, does not make us all judgmental. When non-believers tell us why we are wrong- is that not being judgmental as well?

They are human, and some are being hypocritical when they judge another on his/her beliefs.
I will say that hypocrisy is not limited to Christians.
I think that many people have been hypocritical at one time or another.

to say one is judging another could be said that they were doing the same, you cant say someone is judging just because they answer truthfully about how they feel if they didnt they could be accused of being a liar,to condemn one is altogether different no one should take it upon themselves to try to condemn another

I don't think it's judging. I think people ask questions and Christians answer honestly. If God's word condemns you, it's not our fault.

To make the statement "You're being judgemental" is in itself judgemental.

We make moral judgments all the time. To judge is not a sin. To do so hypocritically is the sin.
