I really admire this guy who I've known all my life and recently reconnected. He's in a committed relationship, and I want someone just like him. I know he hangs out with people who are similar to him. How can I get him to introduce me to his friends?

Tell him you want to meet a guy like him and would really appreciate his help in doing that. He's gotta have single friends he can try and hook you up with. Plus knowing your situation... you want to have him help you find a man to keep any temptation of him becoming the man out of the picture. You think he's great, he obviosuly is into you... but since he is committed to another woman its gonna be extra important to channel those interests into a brother-sister like partnership with a goal of finding you someone like him so you guys can double date... make sense?
I'd also recommend that you make sure his signficant other gets to know you... you do run the chance that she'll be a little jealous, but once she gets to know you and that your not after her man, then she might be a big help in your quest.

either be up front and just ask him... or if you hear him talking about what they are doing this weekend or something then just ask if its cool if you go... im sure they wont mind there being a cute girl among the group of guys

just tell him to hook u up straight or tell him u want to meet his friends to see who he hangs out with itll be akward but ey this life is about it so just do it
