i would like to loose 15 pounds by the time school starts again in august and another 15 by december (in total 30 by december) i am 5'3 and weigh 190 pds. I want to start with a liquid diet and then progress to a steady way of eating that will eventually become my lifestyle.

The llemonade diet can help:
Losing as much as 20 pounds in a week

This is the recipe:

4 lemons
1 quart spring water or well water(no town water!)
1/2 cup grade B maple syrup (i never actually measure this)
1/2 tea. of ground ceyene pepper

Mix it all up... put it in the fridge...

drink throughout the day.. and make as much as you need..
you drink this and this only for 10-40 days depending upon how much weight you wantto lose!!

I don't think that liquid diets are safe at all. When you are not eating your body goes into a sort of defense mode and it will store up any little thing that goes in instead of digesting it because it feels like it is starving and needs to hold on to whatever it can. The best thing to do it just eat light. Smaller portions.. fruits and veggies.. PROTEIN.. and regular exercise. In the beginning you need to do nothing but cardio because that burns the fat. If you start weightlifting or doing anything to build muscles before you have lost the fat then the muscles will build up under the fat and it will make you look bigger. If you want to have long term results don't do a liquid diet. As soon as you stop with the liquid diet and go back to food you will gain back whatever it was that you lost because your body will grab on and store everything that you eat. Hope this was helpful.

The Gerson diet will give you what you need as far as nutrients and what not. You can use Niacin and a lot of water for a quick detox to clean your system for a fresh start.

don't forget that eating is only half the equation.. you have to walk/run/bike/swim.. whatever.. get some physical activity in. It is JUST as important as what you eat.
